      WILD Question

      Hi DV

Just wondered if anyone that uses the wild technique could help me out with a question I have about the technique.

While attempting to wild I use counting down from 100 to keep my awareness which I find helps me quite a lot. The only thing Im not so sure about is that when my mind starts to wonder from counting into some type of day dream state (If thats the right way to describe it) I force myself back out of the state and continue to count.

This can happen a few times throughout the course of my wild attempt. My question is, am I doing the right thing by forcing myself out of the day dream type state and continue to count or could this be the reason I keep failing at the WILD technique.

Hope you are all having a great Easter

      Regards
      Steven

Well, how are you failing? If you aren't falling asleep quick enough let your mind wander more; don't be so uptight. You need to just sort of let go and go along with how you normally fall asleep after that. Tell yourself that once the HH starts to get intense, you will become conscious again. Say a little mantra for a minute or something that once you notice the daydreams get vivid, you will become lucid again in your thoughts. But you still need to sink into it by letting go of some tension. I count to 200 and then let my thoughts flow to make sure that I am alert but then sacrifice a portion of my awareness. Most WILD guides tell you to "remain alert and cognitive" but the reason why I won't go into a WILD when I am sitting on a chair for five minutes is because I am THINKING VERBALLY. You need to THINK FANTASTICALLY. Or in other words, daydreams. So yes, let your mind wander.

If you are having trouble with staying awake, also let your thoughts run but not as much. Tell when you see the HH, don't just passively interact with it. Stay aware that it isn't real.

What happens at the end? Do you fall asleep before HH or other sensations start? Or does it keep you awake for a long time until you give up and go to sleep normally?

To have daydreams is a good thing. That's how you start your dreaming process. But you also need to stay aware until your dreams start or until you get other sensations. Although you not suppose to wait for them anxiously, just very passively, they can be a good indicator that your dreams are near and you just need to wait for one or enter LD via sensations.

So you need to find balance between keeping yourself aware with mantras and allowing yourself to fall asleep at the right time. It's not easy and takes some practice.

If you have not read this tutorial yet, I recommend it WILD (sageous).
And here is something about HH, sensations and types of entry into WILD.
