      DEILD + WBTB Questions

Okay. I'm back with another question on DEILDing.

I've been using a WBTB + DEILD combo almost every night for the past month or so.
After my WBTB (still haven't found a good time, but I'm getting there), I lay down to sleep and start saying a mantra, something like, "I remember to not move or open my eyes when I wake up." And then I try to say it until I fall asleep (although I usually can't keep it going that long), and then before I know it, my alarm goes off to signal the start of a new day.

I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong. How will I know if I will wake up? I know that we wake up after dreams but we aren't always aware for it. It just seems like I'm getting no where. Any tips? I feel kinda lost. Sometimes, after saying the mantra, a couple hours later I will wake up and move as if I never said it at all. Before I know it I've already moved.

Basic questions: How do I become aware when I awake? How do I know if I will wake up after WBTB? Should I use WBTB + DEILDing?

biggest tip i can think of here...DON'T cause yourself insomnia by doing this method. not worth it whatsoever. practice your mantra, do your best at perfecting the WILD then just be ok with letting whatever happens happen. if you are waiting for 3 hours (exxageration...hopefully) for a WILD then it is just not worth it...do your mantra and relax and get some rest. as you continue to practice you will naturally experience more and more of the desired outcome, don't ruin your genuine rest hoping for a lucid dream.

For how long you are practicing the DEILD? It takes some practice to start noticing when you wake up before opening eyes, one tip i can give is to pay attention to the look of your eyelids when you are falling asleep, that's what i was doing before i got it right, then it just started happening by itself, mantra is a good idea as well.
Another thing about DEILD, is that to experience vivid dreams you need to be in REM, so you might need to experiment with the times when you wake up until you get it right. Also is your alarm smooth enough and is it not annoying? Does it turns off by itself as well? If not, i suggest getting an smooth, nice alarm that can turn off by itself after a period of time, otherwise you will probably have better chances to have an DEILD without using any alarm.

"when you fall unconscious, what your mind expresses is a dream.
When you are aware, what your mind expresses is creativity. It creates your life.
When you are in a higher state of consciousness, it not only creates the life of whatever you want, but also on whom ever you want". -LifeBlissFoundation
