      Help with WILD

Now this may sound silly, but lay on the ground on the side of your bed on your back with your arms on your side. After about 10-15 minutes, your body will become so uncomfortable that it almost urges you to get back on your bed, when it is so unpleasent that you can't stand it anymore, get back on your bed. The body will be so relieved that it will grab the chance to fall into a deep sleep in about 5 minutes. After you fall asleep you will start the LDing.

METHOD 2. Lay on your bed on your back with your arms on your side. DO NOT go to sleep, remain conciousness. After a while your mind will question "Is the body ready to go to sleep?" to confirm that the body is still awake, it will urge you to roll over to another position. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU IGNORE THE URGE. The urge becomes excrutiatingly painful, IGNORE THE URGE! After about 5-20 seconds of pain, your mind will confirm that the body is asleep, and enter sleep paralysis. When awake and experiencing sleep paralysis, it can be scary. It will feel like you can not breathe. If you do not want to continue, change your breathing pattern into deep, long breaths. The mind will notice that the body is awake and it will wake up altogether, If you would like to continue in sleep paralysis, just sit there for about 5-10 seconds. The body will enter the Lucid Dreaming state. I hope I helped, and happy LDing.

Hasn't the sleep paralysis thing been discredited now?

My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.

I suggest you start by reading and practicing a tutorial, that doesn't sensationalize the proces. Like WILD and WILD sageous.

You absolutely do NOT need SP to WILD. Paralysis is regulated by your body, you can't induce it on a whim.

I've tried Method 2 in the past - for some people, it doesn't work. I've gotten up because in the night because of the "fake pain", and my arms/legs would be sore for five minutes afterwards! Not to mention most people no matter what they do, myself included, do not experience sleep paralysis.

So I switched to the tutorials on this website, and I swear I've looked at every thread of information, and it got me to my first WILD in about a week or two.

I'm sorry, but no. Most people do not experience SP. Experiencing Rem Atonia in form of paralysis is a disorder. If most of the people experienced it, it would not be a disorder, it would be a norm, and not experiencing it would be a disorder.

Here is one quote from this excellent thread about what is and what is not SP. http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...ml#post1937684
Unfortunatelly, all sensations and hallucination we may/may not experience while consiously falling asleep have been incorrectly lumped under one term - SP. When "true" SP - when body is paralyzed and can't move no matter what, happens only after we start to dream in REM, so we don't act out our dreams.

All of those are characteristic of NREM sleep.

A sense of dread, full-body paralysis, and open-eyed hallucinations are characteristic of conscious sleep paralysis.

Numbness, tingling, a sense of discomfort, and difficulty of movement are characteristic of neither sleep paralysis or NREM. These are however characteristic of a self-induced trance state (aka self-hypnosis) brought about by relaxation, remaining still for a long time, and the belief that you are experiencing "sleep paralysis" and thus cannot move.

Holy hell, that was the worst typo I've ever made

I meant to say DO NOT experience SP! At any point during the WILD process (Even vibrations) I can just get up and walk away xD
