Scared of hypnogatic imagery and hallucinations

I'm scared to do WILD tonight because I've kind of been freaked out by hallucinations and hypnogotic imagery. I'm scared of hearing voices and seeing faces and stuff. This hasn't happened to me but, when I was a kid,I would accidently have LDs and I would wake up and still be in SP and see demons choking me and stuff. I'm scared that this might happen to me again. How can I not be afraid of hallucinations. I feel static in my ear when I WILD and hear blow dryers and the sounds creep me out. I'm also afraid of waking up and still being in SP and seeing demons and stuff again. How can I wake up normally and not be in SP and see bad stuff?

I used to have the same anxiety about SP, The only thing you can really do is make yourself know that it's not real, and it can't hurt you, it may be hard at first, but once you sit through it a few a few times it gets a lot easier. If things are getting too intense you can always close your eyes. Getting through the difficult part just makes the lucid dream that much more enjoyable when you finally get there.

Same here. When I first started learning how to WILD, I read all about that evil hag that sits on your face or whatever and it scared the crap out of me. I was so concerned with seeing these scary things like that kid from the ring I pretty much made myself see it. Oh, and hearing your name being called out in an empty house is going to be a little unnerving the first time or two. But like Ksero said you just have to go with the flow and soon you'll realize there's nothing to be afraid of.

You avoid it by not resisting it. The fears are there to teach you something, in this case maybe to not fear the unknown.

If you try to prevent an experience it just as hard as me telling you not to think od the color red.

What you must do instead is to accept a fear and ask yourself what is the worst thing that can happen?

Here is a good video about fear:

This is quite interesting, I'm a MILD guy, but I really want to fucking experience HI.

Just know that it's part of your mind and never take anything to seriously in life.

I think you are more likely to experience Scary HI if you are scared of it. Do not try to WILD if you are nervous or concerned, only do it when calm and content, and expect it to be pleasantly interesting.

My HI is never scary. It's weird but in a nice way. Alas, I almost always fall asleep and do not succeed to WILD after the HI, but the HI itself is for me a fun experience to be sought out for its own sake.
