      few questions

okay so about wild, for it to suceed you HAVE to be in your REM cycle ? like use the WBTB method ? people say naps are good time for WILD too but you dont have 5-6 hours of sleep of REM in that time, how is that possible ?
also in the past few nights, almost every night i realise that im in a dream,i know i should'nt get excited about it and i dont, but i have really low control(atleast i think) i cant do rasengan when i try(technique from naruto) and the lucid dream i had in the past few nights are VERY short. how can i make them longer OR/AND have greater control over them when i realise ?Thank you.

While I am not sure how it is possible, but I can attest that one can successfully WILD from an afternoon nap because I have done it successfully once. I suspect that just like with everything else with LD the "rules" are not hard, so the 5-6 hours of sleep before WILD attempt does not mean that a WILD attempt will never succeed if one does not have 5-6 hours of sleep already but rather it is more likely to succeed if one already has that much sleep (soft rule). Also at time of afternoon nap one is generally less tired than when going to bed in the evening. If I understand correctly, the more tired you are, the greater the chance you will enter deep sleep when falling asleep, whereas if you are already better rested (but not too well rested because then you would stay awake), if you are more rested but not too rested then you might start with REM sleep and enter a dream right away.

For control, take a look at this subforum Dream Control including a control tutorial that is stickied there. Another tutorial you might find helpful is this one: http://www.dreamviews.com/wiki/Dream...arity-Tutorial - this has some tips on how to enhance a lucid dream and make it be clearer and last longer.

No, you don't need to be in REM to wild, but it would work much better if you are well rested before trying it, hence WBTBs or naps are recommended.

Also, I would suggest looking into other induction techniques which you can alternate with wild. Say one day go for wild, next day go for mild. Just not too many, and be sure to stick with a tech before you move to the next one. I think this will increase your chances of ld. Good luck!

The closer to REM you are, the better, it's easier to WILD when going straight to REM because it's simpler to keep awareness, and while it's possible to have dreams in NREM, unless you have done really good amount of practice with it they will not be as vivid as REM dreams.
As for naps, most of the time during naps we are going really quickly or even almost instantly into REM, which gives greater awareness, naps are golden for WILD and lucid dreaming in general.
As for dream control, do not think that you have low control or can't to something, dream control works on expectations, so think positive and expect things to happen without doubts, also check out this tutorial: http://www.dreamviews.com/induction-...m-control.html
As for dream length, it will improve with practice, and check out link to stabilization tutorial JoannaB posted, but also remember to not overthink about dreams being short because sometimes worrying about it too much can actually cause it.
