First of all, I don't think there is a rule on "how many attempts does it take" - it differs for different people. |

How many times does it take normally to WILD? ive attempted 5 times now and the farthest ive gotten was feeling itches and having the urge to roll over but i cant seem to get past that? and yes i do ignore the urges but i still cant seem to get past that? I really need help on passing that part? |

You may say I'm a dreamer.
But I'm not the only one - John Lennon
Its entirely possible to do it on your first attempt. Differs for everyone. When do you usually attempt a WILD? Might be you're getting the timing wrong. Are you experiencing sensations such as vibrations? If so, you're on the right track. Finally, you could always try DILD. |

i normally do it around 4-5 am and i haven't yet experienced the vibrations |

The vibrations, or indeed any sensations, aren't explicitly required. They're just used as signposts, but its entirely possible to get to the dreamworld without them. Rem atonia isn't a goal, so much as it is a checkpoint. |

Like JoannaB and splodeymissile said, the number of attempts varies from person to person, but think positive, every attempt is a step forward! And sensations vary too, you should not focus on waiting for them though, WILD is not a waiting game, don't focus on physical sensations overall anyway, itching is not a problem either, don't focus on it and itch if you want, it will not interrupt attempt, same for movement as long as it doesn't prevents you from falling asleep, yes, during WILD you just fall asleep, but while keeping awareness using your anchor, and then enter the dream.
