Hello and welcome to DV!
1-2. First of all Sleep Paralysis is not required in order to have a lucid dream, be it WILD or DILD. Actually, unless you belong to a minor group of people that experience the true phenomenon of SP, you do not need to worry about it. WILD is about falling asleep as usual, but at the same time keeping your mind gently awake in the process.
Here is more on Sleep Paralysis:
SP Explained
3. Usually, it is likely that you would remember a lucid dream you had, unless you fall asleep after that and can forget it like any other dream.
4. Having a WILD or any other LD i.e. lucid dream, means you are aware, you know that you are dreaming. That awareness may be high or low, you may also lose that awareness if you become distracted. However, with practice you can learn to have long lasting lucid dreams where more items of the dream can be controlled if you like to.
5. It can take time to induce a lucid dream with the WILD technique. That involves getting an adequate amount of sleep 4-6hrs, doing a wbtb of varying length and then the attempt itself, which can take any amount of time.
In addition, I would recommend that you check out our tutorials and get acquainted with the various techniques to become lucid. Even if you want to start with WILD, it may be a good idea to check out other techniques such as DILD and read more about reality checks and awareness.
