      Arm Drop Technique?

      Hi Guys,

I've got a question related so called 'Arm Held 90 Degrees Up Technique' which were explained aswell here:
      http://www.dreamviews.com/attaining-...-training.html

Has anybody used it before or had any successes with it?

It seems to have kinda lots of potential to me.
My biggest problem with WILDs is falling asleep while unability to fall asleep rare as heck.
So i've thought perhaps of using it
      It could work as Artificial-DEILD
      1. Setup Arm 90 Degree
      2. Arm Falls
      3. Setup Arm 90 Degree Again
...Repeat till reaching rem phase or some signs that i'm at the right state...
Let arm drop a last time and perform then FILD or DEILD alike technique

      What do you guys think?

But aren't you supposed to be very relaxed for WILD? How can you be relaxed when you're holding your forearm up?

This is a technique used by Robert Bruce (?) I think for projection, which to me suggests it would work for WILD. I was doing this in the past and was able to get to a place of HH (just audio) with it. You might have more success.

@mimi: The idea is that you are just uncomfortable enough to not lose awareness. You arm falling will alert you that you're falling asleep. Eventually you would settle in for the WILD, but only after you feel you are close enough.

Yeah, Robert Bruce (according to him) used this technique to astral project for a number of decades.

I see, never really had success with this technique but maybe I didn't do it properly. Getting to the point where I'm so frustrated with WILD that I'll give this a chance again, lol.
Btw your avatar is both awesome and adorable.

Itīs so boring and uncomfortable to hold your arm for so long, but if you are really determined yes it can be a really good tool
Check your memory, did any suprising event happpen ? does the present make sense ? visualize what you will do when lucid, and how. Reality check as reminder of your intention to lucid dream tonight. Sleep as good as you can; when going to sleep, relax and invite whatever comes with curiosity. Grab your dream journal immediately as you awake and write everything you can recall (if only when you wake up for good). Keep calm, positive and persistent, and don't forget to have fun along the way

Maybe a variation would be possible like using something to prop up your arm to some degree?
My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.
