      WILD Problem

So, last night I was attempting WILD and I actually managed to get lucid, I began flying in the dream, but after only a couple of seconds everything went black and I was awake again. It was like I quickly faded into lucidity, but faded out again as soon as I reached it. Any suggestions on what happened?
      Thanks!

You probably woke up due to strong emotion (perhaps you became too excited about being in a lucid dream?) or a lack of stabilisation. Next time you become lucid, rather than trying to fly immediately, take some time to calm down and stabilise the dream. This can be done by rubbing your hands together vigorously or spinning around. It can also be achieved by engaging yourself with the environment, touch stuff, taste stuff et cetera.

The thing was though, I actually started the dream in flight for some weird reason. I didn't really feel any strong emotion, but I do think now that it was possibly down to a lack of stabilization. I'll try and fix that tonight then. It was my second ever attempt at a WILD anyway, so hopefully I can improve a bit with time.
