      Swallowing ruins my WILD attempts

      I can go full 30 minutes without swallowing most of the time but my problem is that whenever i start to get bodily sensations like feeling weightless or heavier or my body detatching from my physical body i always right at that moment i get the urge to swallow even if i dont have any saliva build up.I try to hold myself from swallosing because if i do that at that point everything stops.The feelings stop and i have to restart and it is frustrating.The thing is that i try to hold myself from swallowing and after a point it happens by itself like my muscles in my mouth contract themselves and make me swallow.Also sometimes i get tachycardia where my heart beats like crazy like i am runnin g a marathon which after sometime also make the bodily sensations to stop.Can anybody help with my issues?

      From my experience, not paying attention to the swallowing and letting it pass without much thought is what u should do. Eventually your body will forget about swallowing.

      This technique might be easier than regular WILD.

      Not sure about Android, but if you have an iPhone, instead of using the regular alarms (that loop alarms), set up a one time beep with the built-in Calendar app to set up a one time sound alert (in order to do what the tutorial suggests).

      Swallowing should not ruin your WILD. We swallow every time when we are falling asleep normally and we still fall asleep. That's because we don't even notice it.

      If we don't pay attention to swallowing, scratching or small movements to adjust position when we are unconfortable, then it may set us back a min or two or nothing at all.

      It's much better to take care of what bothers us (swallowing, scratching, moving hand that's in uncomfortable position) than to be bothered and ruin our attempt.

      I have fixed this problem...like you said i just swallow without bothering about it messing me up.Today i made an attempt as soon as i woke up.And i tried using a mantra like sageous said in his wild class.But i was in bed relaxed after a 5 minute WBTB for 50 minutes wihout focusing on the "noise" sageous said.I was in that state for 50 minutes with minor body sensations or maybe intense i dont really know because i was not paying attention to my body and i had some mini scenes come and go like mini dream scenes...like watching TV but after 50 minutes nothing happened.I have read in the forums that the main goal is to fall asleep.While keeping awareness of course.So after that 50 minutes i got pissed and rolled over to sleep.I sleep on my stomach and attempt WILDS laying on my back because it makes it easier for me to relax.I have read that a WILD shouldnt take more than 30 minutes after a WBTB. I hit the 50 minute mark and nothing so i just lay on my stomach to sleep and i fall asleep in maybe 5 minutes....This really triggered me.Maybe i should try to WILD on my normal sleepin position...laying on my stomach?
