Cool I would like to LEARN WILD …. Please Help

      Hi All,

WILD is what I would Like to Learn.

My Ultimate Goal is to be able to WILD every night.

I am Trying WILD because I did not find any success in DILD because me Dream Recall is very Poor.
I have Extremely Poor Dream recall. My Dream Journal is Empty Most of the Times.

My Question is, Will I be Able to Do WILD EVEN if I have Very Poor Dream Recall ????

Here is what I have read in the book Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge
Power of Visualization: White Dot Technique
Power of Visualization: Black Dot Technique
Continue to focus on the black dot until you find that you are dreaming.
      Dream Lotus Background
      Dream Lotus and Flame Technique

Right now I am Practicing Dream Lotus Technique.

I started this Meditation from mid September and have been continuing.
I have been able to Meditate for 10 mins to 20 mins.
I meditate once in the morning and once in night.
But for past 1 or 2 weeks I have not been meditating. I was in Depression, so I did not meditate.

Today I tried meditation again and was able to Meditate 3 times in the Day for 40 mins each.
So after a Gap of 1 week I was able to Meditate for 40 mins at a stretch.

My Thinking is that, IF I am Able to Meditate for 1 HOUR AT A STRETCH, Then I should be able to do WILD.

      Wish me Luck.

I Plan to Continue this Visualization for the next 3 months and I should be able to do WILD.

My Only Fear is that I may not be able to Practice this for the next 3 months Continuously. Some Obstacle might come. So I am not sure if I Will be Successful. But I Will Keep Trying.

Please advise me on how I should proceed futher.

Apart form Visualization, is there anything I must Practice ???

Your Guidance will be Helpful for Me.

Thanks for taking your time to Read my Post....

DEILD is the easiest version of WILD. The book Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming makes a mention of this technique. It says in Chapter 6:
"If you remain perfectly motionless upon waking from a lucid (or nonlucid) dream and deeply relax your body, there is a good chance that REM sleep will reassert itself and you will have an opportunity to enter a lucid dream consciously, as described in chapter 4."
Upon waking up, you just relax and continue a dream in your mind until a dream appears, usually within a minute. This doesn't work every time but it can work enough to have lucid dreams consistently once you become proficient at it.

Sageous has a great WILD class here on DV in the DVA section, highly recommended.

The more familiar you get with the wake/sleep boundary, the more familiar with it you get, the closer you'll be to WILDs. Be sure to remain flexible about your chosen anchor, and IMO it's better to err on the side off falling asleep without awareness than it is to remain awake for hours. But sometimes, very good LDs can result from very long WILD attempts.

Really it's all about getting tons and tons of experience. Keep careful records, and vary everything: WBTB time, WBTB length, different anchors

Every night is probably too often. If you want to generate more experience with navigating the process of falling asleep, try napping during the day, even just with the intent to pay attention to the experience of falling asleep.

Meditation will undoubtedly help, but there's more to WILD than a meditative mindset. Again, see Sageous's class. There are also other good WILD tutorials on DV.

One key thing is learning to very quickly relax your mind and body totally, in order to fall asleep quickly. This is a key skill in WILD.

The other thing is to find the anchor that works for you. As you narrow in on hitting the bullseye right between "too tight" and "too loose".

Give yourself plenty of time -- it can take a lot of attempts over a long time.

I became lucid in my dream....

I became lucid in my dream....

Below is what I dreamed on 5 Nov 2022,
"I was kept in a Rehab....
In this rehab everyone beats patients with a stick...till they bleed. They were beating a lady in a saree … Her saree was torn … still they were beating her …
They beat up both boys and girls.
When my tum came i was given a shot with a pistol which stung like a needle and I fainted...
      They beat me up.
When I got up my face was swollen...
I was not feeling much pain so I was fearless.... I went to bathroom and slept in the bathroom... I came out of bathroom
After I woke up i realized that I have 1 cigarette and lighter... which I can smoke in bathroom...
I was Outside...so I asked someone where bathroom is … went into one …
The Bathroom was different... I wanted to Smoke but the bathroom had a huge windows and i got caught with cigarette...
After that there was a huge crowd of people who wanted my cigarette....
I was Not kept in a room but was roaming in the ground...
I had my phone with me...
My mom and wilfy were there with me...
I asked Wilfy the rehab name …
He said it's not on Google...
One Guy rescued me in a car...the Guy was actor Kamal Hasan..
But he took me back in Rehab... To a secret place and told me his identity..
Kamal was looking very young... I took his Blessings...
Then shooting started....All of a sudden i was outside in the rehab not sure where to go...
I REALISED THAT KAMAL IS NO LONGER HERE. ..AND THE ENVIORMENT HAS CHANGED ALLL OF A SUDDEN....SO I MUST BE DREAMING....
But I did not do anything Lucid even after realizing that this is a Dream...
One Guy showed me Golden needless and said it's for me … Then I woke up "

      6 Nov 22,
On 6th November was my Birthday and on my Birthday I had a Lucid dream..
I was walking in the lane nearby my house and a Pure White Horse walked next to me.
As soon as I saw the Horse I realized that I must be dreaming.
So I started riding the Horse and went near my House.
Then I asked the Horse to Fly. And then I spread my arms and started Flying. I could see the Lake from above. It was a Beautiful Lake surrounded by Trees and boats.
Then I started falling down. But I still tried to Fly …. I was flying in the Sky and All of a sudden I was transported into a bedroom with a Family and I was sleeping in between them.
. But now I was no longer Lucid....I woke up in a House and I was sleeping between a mother and a Daughter...
All of a sudden a Fat lady started attacking the Husband... and the lady was invisible but I and the Mother could see her.... So I poked her with a needle and she started bleeding Blue color blood...
And after this I woke UP...

You probably didn't that you woke up. You could have woken up between them, you just didn't remember. That is not uncommon.

Still, that is great that you have a lucid dream.

Congratulations! As you get more experience recognizing the dream, you'll notice more and more!

To help catch false awakenings, and return to more full lucidity, I find it helpful to think "I'm still dreaming" and "the next scene will still be a dream".

Another big boost to my lucid dreaming and performing dream goals is to rehearse the moment you get lucid in a dream, while awake. Imagine you just got lucid in a dream, take a brief moment to fully realize that you are aware in a dream while you look and feel all around you (immerse your senses in the dream environment, sight, sound, feeling, smell, etc., really open yourself to the environment), and then recall your dream goals and go ahead and start on them.
