      Noob Help! SP!

Ok, I have actually attempted to WILD, but only like 3 times. Although I have not attempted many times, when I am sleeping sometimes, throughout the night I will wake up, stay aware, then almost immediatly my body tries to jump into SP, but when it does this I can almost feel like im ascending more into SP but then I come right back down, then go right back up and it is more intense then come back down, then I go up one more time and it is even greater, then im waking up the next morning wondering what I did wrong. My question is how do I catch on to that little bit of SP and keep riding the spaceship on up into my lucid dream?

      thx, dextro...

You don't ride the SP feeling into lucidity. That's a feeling you get during sleep paralysis that happens, but isn't actually what brings you into a lucid dream.

If you neglected to read the/a WILD tutorial in its entirety, that would explain why you didn't understand this aspect of WILDing. As the tutorial states, you become lucid when you're seeing prolonged dream scenes instead of simple hypnagogic imagery. You are to let these engulf you and draw you passively into the dream state, and you do it while fully conscious of this event happening.

Clearly, this has nothing to do with how your sleep paralysis experience goes. SP is a phase before the transition, and nothing more, and shouldn't be taken for more than what it is. Once you feel SP, imagine yourself smiling because you've made it that far, and move on to the next part of it: the attention you continue to put on the things you're seeing and hearing, which then develop into dream scenes that eventually suck you in and BOOM - you're lucid.

Good luck, and don't get fixated on SP: once it happens, move on.

I know that you do not ride SP into lucidity, what I am talking about is when SP approaches I can not hold on to it, it either goes away, or it makes me go unconcious. I was just wondering, if anybody that sees this message has had a difficult time with keeping SP, let me know what helped you, and that would be vadgetastic.

As for your last question, I've had problems with SP too, but I can't repeat myself enough: let it come, and let it go. If it feels like it's coming over you, but then leaves or doesn't complete or whatever, don't worry about it. SP feels different for everyone, and for me it feels different almost every time I WILD, so if it doesn't quite feel like it's lifting you up or something, don't focus on that - it's just a different SP experience this time, but it IS still there. Your body IS asleep - your senses are becoming disconnected, so it won't be the same every time you feel it (or not feel it).

Keep going right on through it! As for the going-unconscious part, I've had that happen so many times during the nighttime attempts, I've resigned for now to only WILDing in the afternoon, where I'm certain I will stay awake in my mind until I see dreamscenes. Try WILDing during an afternoon nap if attempts during the night aren't working out for you.

Dude I finally had a WILD and it took like 5 minutes to get it, turns out I am a natural, but I still have to work on stabilizing once I am in the dream, turns out my SP feels like a roller coaster and then I can actually feel my dream body form (=

Glad you did it, but one WILD and a DILD doesn't mean you're a natural. If you have been having LD's for a long time and they came to you naturally without using any techniques, then you're a natural.
Actually what you described (waking up and then after a moment starting to enter SP) sounds like a DEILD. I reccomend you read the tutorial. You could get some valuable insight there.

What did you do differently, this time? Did you have the same thing happen, where you bounce back and forth for a while?

Major congratulations on the WILD! My question is the same as Robot_Butler's, what did you do different?

Yeah, all the same stuff happened, but when it hapened I had over slept for school and it was like 8:00am at the time and I stayed awake until about 9:30am and layed down, and right after I did a whole series of crazy vibrations and jolts just started and I thought I could actually feel my dream body form, I could feel my legs appear and then my torso and then the rest, and then I started to feel my dream body sit up right and then the dream just happened, but the wierd thing is, I never seen any HI or felt what I thought SP would be like, I guess it is just different for everyone. And another thing, I did not even worry about not moving, I would just stay still for like 2 or 3 min at a time. Does anybody know any good stabilizing tricks?

      ttly thx, dextro...

Good news everybody, I have had another WILD and have began using my own technique called the (DEWISALDIT) Dream Exit Wake Induced Super Awesome Lucid Dream Induction Technique. Lucid dreaming is great and I now have proper control, now I just need to work on the clarity.

      You forgot "Chocolatey Fudge Coded"

OT: Glad you succeeded! For clarity you could try the classic - shouting "Increase clarity".

Yah, I tried that but for it to keep working I have to keep repeating myself like every 10 seconds and I was wondering if anybody had any techniques on making the dream more light filled because everytime I go into a dream it is dark, I demand light, but it only works inside of my house and no where else, any ideas?

      thx, dextro.
