      Anyone experienced this?

So I was trying to WILD for like the 100th time, and as I was starting to get very relaxed my legs jerked up at the knee. Like they bent. It was weird, has anyone experienced this>

I cant say I have, were you startled or maybe it was a muscle spasm.
After finding out about lucid dreaming being a monk made a lot more sense.

It sounds like a hypagogic jerk; sometimes they're accompanied by a quick falling sensation.

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I think it's the hypnic jerk too. It doesn't typically bother me at night, but it really does when i'm trying to take a nap during the day. I'll be about to fall asleep and then i'll jerk myself awake unintentionally. I wouldn't worry about it. It's completely normal and i find it completely annoying too.

Agreeing with the above, but also wanted to say that yes, I have experienced this too. Although, I don't WILD, so I guess it's less annoying for me, cos it's not ruining anything But yeah, it's still really weird when my leg or my neck or something suddenly just pops and wakes me up! Sometimes I get them without the falling sensation, too.

I had that happen to me yesterday, with both arms and legs at the same time. Must've looked hella funny if someone was watching

Oh yes, i sure have, just last week or the week before but it was recent. I was getting relaxed, and all of a sudden most of my body jerked or bounced.
