      A few WILD questions ...

      Hey all,

Have been looking around at the various WILD guides & tutes (theyre all really well written), putting pieces together here and there, but I think it would help if I can get pointers on these questions.

Am on uni holidays, so have plenty of nights to muck around with WILDing.

1/ After laying still for a period of time, I get numb hands and feet yet can still voluntarily move them. Is this proper sleep paralysis? I thought you were meant to be fully paralised?

2/ Once again after a period of time, most nights I can feel my eyes flickering. I gather im asleep at this point? as per the first question even though my eyes are flickering I can still freely move my numb muscles.

3/ Ive had vibrations a couple of times and managed to stay relaxed, yet couldnt get a dream out of it. I imagined moving my 'dream' hand or rolling over, but nothing really happened.

4/ Like I say, ive read alot of the guides but havent really been able to extract a dream.

The binaural tinnitus in my ears is pretty crazy.

Like I say any pointers would be awesome. Ive been trying every night and reading heaps, but I guess it takes a while to perfect.

      Cheers.

I'll help ya out. Replies in italics.

1/ After laying still for a period of time, I get numb hands and feet yet can still voluntarily move them. Is this proper sleep paralysis? I thought you were meant to be fully paralised? This is proper sleep paralysis, yes. You won't know if you're fully paralyzed or not, since you won't be moving at all anyway, but that's not the focus - once you're at this point you need to forget about the SP and focus on hallucinations in anticipation for entering a dream.

2/ Once again after a period of time, most nights I can feel my eyes flickering. I gather im asleep at this point? as per the first question even though my eyes are flickering I can still freely move my numb muscles. I'd say yes, but you shouldn't be consciously moving any of your muscles at this point because you need to hold still to let your body fall asleep. Regardless, it's not important when you know you're asleep, just as it's not important to determine if you're fully paralyzed or not - focus on the hallucinations and on your dream!

3/ Ive had vibrations a couple of times and managed to stay relaxed, yet couldnt get a dream out of it. I imagined moving my 'dream' hand or rolling over, but nothing really happened. This isn't a question, so I'm assuming you're looking for a pointer here. Your dream is created out of your hallucinations, so if you're not getting HH, you're likely not going to get close to a lucid dream. If you're imagining something happening, instead of feeling it or visualizing it right in front of your eyes as if you were looking right at it, then you're not getting your hallucinations enough, and need to let yourself go more into sleep.

4/ Like I say, ive read alot of the guides but havent really been able to extract a dream. Like mentioned above, you get into a dream by witnessing hallucinations. If you're not seeing hallucinations, you're not going into a lucid yet. Let the HH happen, and you'll eventually have HH that's so real you'll feel as though you're watching something real happening, or even feel like you're in a dream. At that point, you probably will be in a lucid dream, or very close to it. Good luck!

I'm not on DV much these days, but I'll try to toss a cool dream or two into my DJ.

So after the dream fully appears before us, that is when we should rollover?

Cheers for the reply. Very helpful.

I do get the HH, but I guess ive just got to learn how to use it properly.

On a side note, I had a nap yesterday around 2pm. After laying there for about 40 minutes I felt myself spinning around in circles. Was really crazy, once again didnt get a dream out of it, but im getting close.

      Thanks again.

If I make any progress or have any pointers ill let you know sydis & jay.

@Regwell Awesome, you're getting real close! Keep at it, let us know how it goes.

@sydiswatching1 I don't know about rolling over - I've seen it on some methods, but I've never done it - but when you're in the dream, you'll know it. That's where all your motions should be, so yes, that's where you'd roll over, should you be dreaming of laying in bed.

      Hey mate,

Dunno how youre going with the WILD thing, but I read a book and found a heaps more reliable and straightforward technique.

You basically Set your alarm clock for about 6 hours after going to sleep. Once you wake up, go to the lav, get a drink or whatever, but make sure you set the intention in your mind to wake up in the next 1/2 hour, hour, whatever.

The KEY THING (after the initial wakeup) is to wakeup without moving your limbs and opening your eyes. This is pretty much the hardest part.

Once you wake up, try looking at HI for about 5 seconds. if nothing move on to listening to the sounds in your ears and try to amplify them, once again for about 5 seconds. If nothing try moving a limb without using your muscles, once again for about 5 seconds. If you find either of these techniques working put you effort into increasing imagery, sounds or whatever. I got thrown out of bed this morning after my 3rd day of trying, and had an OBE.

I tried WILD as per all the guides almost every day for about 3 weeks and nothing. This technique is king.

PM me for questions (or I can tell which book or something).

oh, and you'll know when to roll out of bed.
