      Troubles wiht WILD.

      Okay, so I have attempted to WILD at least 4 times now. Those 4 times failed.
      Last night, in a WBTB, I got up, went to the bathroom, and laid down to WILD. I tried to relax as much as I could by breathing in deeply. (By the way, does anyone have any suggestions for relaxing?) After about a minute, I felt sort of numb. So I decided to start the method I learned form one of Billybob's tutorials.

      I breathed in, breathed out, "1"; breathed in, breathed out, "2"; and so on. I had gotten to about 180 and I wasn't totally relaxed, so I decided to stop. Out of my stupidity I decided to turn over. I did, and tried again. So I just daydreamed, and apparently, I fell asleep. Dang.

      I will tell you about another WILD attempt:
      This was in the morning of July 8 I think. I took a nap. So I tried to relax as much as I could by breathing in deeply. After about the time i felt sort of numb, I starting the technique, the one up above. After I got to 300, I thought I was "there". But no, my body was still trying to relax. So once i got to 600, I still hadn't felt SP, HI, or anything.

      Comments, suggestions? Feedback would be much appreciated.

      P.S. Maybe it is because I'm such a light sleeper..it usually takes me about 5-10 minutes to fall asleep. But mostly it hangs around 8.

      P.S.S. All the times I find myself still awake in bed, just numb, no SP, 45 minutes later.

      I guess you were using this method http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=30783 Yesterday I tried it too. I counted to about 150 and after that I felt like I'm falling down or flying somewhere, not sure)) Also I was feeling that my heart were beating like a drum and that my breathing has stopped. After that I made 2 mistakes: I forced breathing and after some time opened my eyes thinking that I will open them in a dreamworld... After that I tried it again a couple of times, but no luck even counting to about 600. I also tried it again in the morning and no luck again. I guess that I need to exclude random thoughts and maybe breath more slowly. Maybe this wil help you too But I also would appreciate any suggestions from experienced LDers) Good luck getting lucid

      Okay, so I have attempted to WILD at least 4 times now.
      First of all, 4 times isnt a lot. Don't give up on WILDing. It took me about 14 times before i got the first successful one. I'd give it about a month before you completely give up. maybe longer. WILDs take practice and experimenting to get right. Make your own personal style that you like.

      I see that you use a counting method as your anchor. While that could definately work, I find that it hinders the mind-wandering factor. When I tried that, I was focusing so much on counting that I couldn't feel the SP.

      If either of you wants my personal tutorial in a PM, I'd be happy to send one for each.

      It's easy to execute, but getting to the dream is the hard part. I said I'd send it to you. I'll get to it at some point this morning before I go to my friend's house. ^_^

      Heya! (interrupting dialogue) Im no WILD master and either a noob yet! I tried to WILD some 5-6 times and basically failed all of them. I know that WILD is basically about concentration and thats my biggest weak spot xD I know that the biggest thing that makes you "connect to the mind is your breathing, I dont know how but I will know. But basically they must be long (and slow?) breaths. I read about the "third eye technique" and its really interesting, gotta try it out. Its basically concentrate on the space between your eyebrows (like there was an eye there). You you will be concentrating on yourself and (correct me if im wrong) in a location on your brain which produces melanin, which is good (I dont know why it helps in WILD but it should relax you more I think) Angel would you kindly give me your tutorial please? It would be cool. Just one thing. You shouldnt try your WILDs like in 2 days in a row right?

      Heya back! Concentration is my biggest weak spot too. Yeah, I'm always wondering what kind of breathing it is..I try to breathe in for about 2 seconds and breathe out for 2. It's basically trying to match your sleep breathing. (I guess ) Good luck on that, can't wait to see how it turns out for you! What I have learned, is you need to practice your WILDs as much as you can (like every night). Practice makes perfect.

      Thanks! Im really willing to have a WILD since they seem to be more vivid and longer than DILDs (mine ar so short and bit blurry...)
