New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight

Treasure on the Mountain
I am in a green field lying on a blanket, staring up at the clear blue sky. Someone is standing over me with a sword, and it looks like he is going to run it right through me when he gets struck by lightning. I hear, "Pii… kaa… chuuu!" as the lightning bolt goes off, the attacker collapses to the ground smoking slightly. I sit up and see there are more enemies around me, and a pikachu sitting right beside me. An angry pikachu. He uses his thunder attack on more of the people standing around me, I recognize them as Templars… I use Battery and add my lightning to Pikachu's storm.

Templars are taken out in a massive lightning storm. The field of green grass is now clear, though there are some burned spots on the grass where Templars got struck by lightning. I remember that the plan was to get to the moon and do some healing. I open a portal to get to the moon, then I go through into the area around the balancing pools. Nomad is already there, as is Winter. Winter is floating in the water as if asleep, she is a mermaid just floating in the middle of the pool about a foot under the surface of the water. I get in the water and feel its relaxing warmth, I focus healing energy into Winter and through Nomad's foot as well. Nomad has said the injuries on his foot are just about gone, which I am glad of. I focus more healing energy on Winter. I drift in the water for a few more minutes, or it might have been longer, I can't be sure. Nomad gets out of the water and I follow him to the moon tower. Inside the control room there is a display showing the deck of the Black Pearl, I know what ship it is because I can see Captain Jack Sparrow on it. A portal opens near the display and Nomad goes through it, I follow him. On the other side Jack doesn't seem surprised when Nomad and I just appear from nowhere. I notice we are sailing rather close to a sheer cliff on an island. The rock face climbs into the sky, it looks virtually impossible to scale. I see a ledge far up the cliff, almost to the top. I know that is where we are going. Jack says we have arrived just when needed as usual, so how do we go about getting to the treasure cave? I activate my tiara and form raven wings, flying up into the air briefly and then landing. Nomad transforms into a winged black feline, a lot like a large winged panther.

Jack says something about how having a pair of wings sure would be useful… I use Of Wolf and Man to transform Jack to a winged form, his wings turn out to look like the wings of a giant sparrow. He flaps them a couple times and easily takes flight. All of the crew are watching the three of us with their eyes wide, no one says anything about wanting a pair of wings of their own, however. I pick up a golden monkey statue before taking to the sky and flying up to the cave entrance. Nomad and Jack follow me. Inside the cave there is a pedestal near the far end of the cave. There is a spot on the pedestal that is the right size for the golden monkey. I set the monkey on the pedestal, it fits into an indentation like a key. It sinks down farther into the indentation and then a door slides open in the back of the cave, a door that had been completely invisible before. We go through the door and down a long passage before coming to a huge chamber. The chamber is illuminated through a hole in the roof of the cavern through which I can see blue sky. The room looks even brighter than it would otherwise look because there are piles of gold coins scattered through the room, huge piles, it definitely looks like a dragon nest. And in the middle of the room there is a large golden egg nestled in a particularly large pile of gold.

Nomad has gone over to the egg and is looking at it closely. I comment that without its mother's flame to warm it the egg won't hatch. Jack asks what I know about dragons, I tell him I have seen a dragon egg hatch one time before, and this one looks like that egg off of Harry Potter. Nomad transforms into a humanoid winged black panther and takes the egg carefully in hand. I look around and see Jack Sparrow collecting some gold in a large sack. He looks and sees me watching, he says his crew won't work for nothing… There is so much gold there that the small amount Jack collects isn't even noticeable. Nomad suggests taking more, the egg probably needs to be in gold when it hatches. I collect a bag full of gold before we leave the cave and fly back down. The door to the treasure chamber closes when we remove the monkey statue. We all fly back down to the ship where the crew is still waiting in the Black Pearl. Jack tosses his bag of gold over amongst them, telling them that is their cut to divide amongst them, they look in the bag and seem very happy with that. Someone asks what about the other bag, and what is with the egg? Jack says he's going to be a father… then indicates a chest, which I pour my bag of gold into. Nomad sets the egg in the chest carefully. I tell Jack it's going to need some fire to hatch… fire like its mother would provide if its mother had still been there. We build a nest out of hay, grasses, and some wood, and then I use a small fireball to set it on fire. The fire caresses the surface of the egg. Jack tells his crew to gather what they can find that will burn, that fire can't be allowed to go out. They start bringing various items over. I wonder if the egg can still hatch, how long has it been without its mother? I am still wondering this when I wake.

Stolen Treasure
I am on a ship at sea, it looks like an old pirate ship. I am there with Jack Sparrow and Nomad, I look around and see Spike is also there looking out over the ocean. I see there is another ship in the distance. A sailing ship. I wonder what that ship is doing. Nomad asks if I realize I am dreaming. I do a reality check by pinching my nose and finding I can still breathe. Jack says they have already spotted us and are getting closer. Nomad says someone should distract the enemies while someone else goes in and gets the monkey idol. I see that the other ship is indeed getting closer.

I am not sure if they are approaching us or if we're approaching them, but they are definitely closer. Some cannons are fired at each other, then the ships are close enough to board, and then a fight starts. I wonder where the monkey idol might be kept on the ship. I have an idea on where I need to go to find it. Fighting is going on all around me now. Someone tells me the idol is in the cargo bay, go get it while everyone is distracted by the fighting. I look over the edge of the ship and I see there is a hole in the hull of the ship made by a cannon ball. I slip over the edge and in through that hole. I now find myself in a room with a lot of crates in it, though there is one in the middle of the room with three men guarding it. I wonder why they aren't going out to join in the fight… whatever they're guarding must be very important. The men attack me when they see me. I form Witchblade into a sword and block the attack from the first one, using Battery to strike the others with a bolt of lightning. I am able to take the last one out with my sword. I go over to the crate they were guarding, keeping an eye on the exit to the deck, wondering if anyone heard that something is going on in the cargo area. I look into the crate and I find a statue made of gold in the form of a monkey.

That's what we're after! I take the monkey statue from the crate and head back over to the hole in the side of the ship. I jump out of the ship and telekinetically fly over to the Black Pearl, depositing the statue on Jack's ship. I telepathically tell Nomad that I have the monkey statue. He and the others fighting on the other ship come back to the Black Pearl. We are already moving away from the other ship, it seems they are much too slow to catch up with the Black pearl. A few more cannon shots are exchanged before we are out of range, leaving the other ship far behind as they are still trying to turn around in order to follow. I am watching that ship disappear in the distance as I wake up.

Keep Away
I am at Hogwarts. I am there with MoSh in the great hall, eating. I notice that it seems everyone but MoSh is staying away from me and I wonder why. MoSh also doesn't know. I eat and then I go to classes. I notice that everyone seems to be staying at a distance from me. Do they think I'm diseased or something? It makes no sense. The next and final round of the martial arts challenge is starting. My opponent doesn't even fight, she just steps out of the ring, thus losing. She hurries away, ignoring the disgusted look she gets from Vegeta. MoSh fights Cedric and wins. Hermione fights Victor Krum and wins, though they look very cozy after. Back in Slytherin common room people still avoid me. One of my roommates says she isn't surprised... I'm scary.


Final Frontier or Eve
I am in space in my Fire Valkyrie. I am flying along side Tigress, who is in the custom ship she built. She says she is surprised to see me since she thought I wasn't interested in playing Eve. I'm not sure what she is talking about... last time I looked we were testing a level of Final Frontier. Regardless, we are in the role of space pirates intercepting a shipment of a rare ore heading from the mines to some corporate conglomerate to line zone rich CEO's pockets. There is a small squad if fighters with the transports, but it is actually a bit disappointing that there aren't more. Note to self... more enemy fighters with the transports. We easily claim the transports and their cargo. Um... what now? Well, to finish the quest, we take the ore to the planet needing it. Then we get paid. We take the ore to a planet similar to Earth with colorful rings. We leave the transports at a space station in exchange for platinum bars. Nice. Those are worth a lot on the open market.


Epic Fail
I am at a job fair. I look around, I was thinking Tigress would also want to be there, but I don't see her. I am thinking she must have already gotten taken into the back room for an interview, maybe a job. I hope she has found something good. There are quite a few game studios represented at the fair. I want a job, too. I finally have a game studio show interest in me. I go with them back for an interview. I have my laptop with me to show some of my work. But everything I try to load either doesn't load or it loads wrong an looks like shit. The interviewers laugh at me. They give me one more chance in the form of a test, but I am so upset from my failed presentation that I can't figure out anything for the test. I leave the interview feeling dumb, epic fail.

Plans: Night Five of MILD, goal to meet up with MoSh in a dream and find Asuka because he hasn't seen her in a while and wants to be sure she is ok.

Profoundly Inconsiderate
I am in a house with my ex boyfriend, James. I am in the bedroom with him, we are sitting on the bed, though there is nothing intimate going on. We are watching television together, I don't remember what movie it was, just that it was a comedy. We are watching it, and there is a specific part where a man and a woman are interacting on the screen… I don't remember the exact details. What I do remember is that James makes some comment that I find exceedingly offensive. I look over at him, trying to determine what he is meaning by that comment… is he trying to make a joke? If so, epic fail. Is he being serious? If he is, he's being profoundly inconsiderate. I say he can't be serious, he says of course he is, then he says I actually take this negative trait further than the character on the television. So he obviously isn't joking. I am both hurt and mad, but more mad. I have a soda in my hand… a glass with ice and Coke… I throw the coke all over him. The classical 'throw a drink in his face' reaction. He is not happy with that, but I really don't care. I get up and walk out of the room. I'm looking for my keys to get out and leave…

Dogs Having Kittens
… I drive away from James' house, still mad. I decide I want to stop at a Circle K to get something to drink and perhaps eat. I park and walk inside, where I look around and buy a soda and something fattening. I walk out with a large Coke and a package of Hostess Zingers, chocolate of course. I see something strange outside. Some people are following a dog down the sidewalk. They are having problems holding a large number of puppies, tiny puppies. A woman asks if I can help them collect the puppies. It's Asuka! She says MoSh is over there gathering puppies, but there are so many of them. I go over to MoSh and I start picking up puppies. The strange thing is the dog is still in the process of having puppies.

The dog will go a few feet, then drop out a puppy as easily as if the dog were taking a shit. The tiny puppy is wiggling on the ground when MoSh picks it up and carries it back towards the Circle K to put it in a box. I follow the dog now. The dog stops after about another ten feet and drops a puppy. I pick up the small dog. The mother continues, another five feet or so, drops a puppy. Another fifteen feet… the dog drops a puppy. I pick up the first of those two puppies. When I go to pick up the other puppy I discover it's a kitten. It doesn't even look like a newborn kitten…

I am able to pick up one more puppy before I have to carry my armful of cute back to the box. I meet MoSh on the way back and I mention to him that the dog had a kitten! He looks at the kitten and says not to worry about it, there's at least one of those in every litter. A kitten in every litter of puppies?! He says of course, have I ever seen a litter of puppies without at least one kitten? I put the puppies in the box. Asuka says they are after puppies, so if I would like to keep the kitten, go ahead. The kitten is sooooo cute! I can't resist. I take the kitten back to my car…

A Night on the Town With Jack Sparrow
… For some reason I head back to James' place, I guess I'm no longer angry about his comment earlier. The fact is I don't even remember the comment at this point. Now I want to show him the kitten I just got. The kitten is very cooperatively sitting on my shoulder mewing. The only issue I have is that occasionally when the kitten seems to feel a bit insecure, I feel the claws dig into my shoulder a bit as the kitten tries to hold on. The kitten lets go quickly and licks my ear as of to apologize for the claws. I get to James' place and I let myself in. I don't really notice anything strange when I see Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean series kicked back on James' couch indulging in a bottle of rum. What I do notice is that Jack seems to be wearing one of James' nicest suits, I know for a fact it is the best one James has and cost quite a lot to purchase. I wonder why Jack is wearing it. When I ask him, he says I am being too uptight and I need to get out and have some fun. He drains the last of his rum from the bottle, peers into the mouth of the bottle, then holds it upside down over his mouth to be sure he has drained the last couple drops. He announces the rum is gone and we should go fix that. I tell him I don't want rum… he says I may not want rum, but I clearly need rum. I end up following Jack outside, and we go to a bar down the street where he orders rum. I tell the bar tender that I want mine to be a Coke and rum. The kitten is still on my shoulder. Jack is getting very exuberant. Very active. I see that the suite he borrowed from James is getting seriously trashed. I wonder how James will take that… and I realize I don't care.

Plans: Go see MoSh and find out if Asuka is ok, meet Nomad in a dream, meet Pablo in a dream, the usual list of tasks from various sources.

Come Out and Play
I am in my room on my bed, though it isn't my normal bed. This doesn't occur to me as strange even though my regular bed is a waterbed. I get out of the bed when I hear a sound beside the bed. I figure one of the cats are getting into something or is up to something. I turn on a light beside my bed and I see something go under the bed very quickly. Was it one of the cats? I get down beside the bed and peek underneath. I can't see much under the bed, I can barely make out the shape of an animal and an impression of a cute face, two eyes are glowing softly with reflected light. I hear a soft growl from the bed as if the animal is warning me away. Am I scaring the cat? I am trying to coax the animal from underneath the bed, telling the animal I'm not an enemy, I'm a friend. I wake up to the sound of my cat breaking all new records in the volume of a purr. Maybe the growling in the dream was just the sound of the purring cat penetrating into the dream.


NCIS
I am in an open green field that is crawling with various cops, government agents, emergency vehicles, paramedics, and more. I am a bit disoriented, I am not sure what I am doing there, so I am trying to look like I belong there because I figure random people shouldn't be there. I look around a bit more and I see a helicopter has crashed in the middle of the field. There are fire trucks around it, the helicopter is still smoldering slightly. There are ambulances at the scene, but the bodies being taken from the helicopter are completely covered, they are dead. I go over near the ambulances and everyone responds as if I belong there. I see people from the NCIS crew… Tony DiNozzo, Timothy McGee, Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Ducky, Ziva Delgado… Gibbs is very angry, he is chewing out the paramedics and the officials around the crashed helicopter, he is saying they had no right to move the bodies before his team could take a look at the scene. They say it was an accident, there is nothing to examine. Gibbs says this was no accident. He goes over to one of the bodies and pulls the covering back from it, pointing at the dead man underneath. He says this man was shot, he died before the helicopter crashed. So did the other man. This was no accident, it was a double murder. One of the government officials asks how they could have been shot when they were the only ones in the helicopter when it crashed. Gibbs says that is what he and his team are going to find out.


A Child of Death
I am in a car with several other people, they all seem to be on a very urgent mission, everyone seems pretty stressed out, especially the woman beside me in the back seat. She is crying something about her baby. I wonder what is going on. The man in the passenger side of the front seat looks back at me and says it's about time I woke up. He says they have gotten a lead on the creature who took little Anabel, we would get there in a bit. The woman beside me, the one who has been crying, now looks angry. She says she wants to see that thing dead, she wanted to see it burn, she wants it to pay for what it's done to her baby. The man up front says there is no indication that Anabel has been harmed, we could still rescue her. The car pulls to a stop at the bottom of a tall building, I get out and look around. We are in a downtown location, but the place is strangely deserted, and there is an especially tall skyscraper next to us. There are dark clouds and lightning up around the top of the building, which is clearly our destination. The woman is already heading for the door, one of the men tells me to go after her and make sure she doesn't do anything stupid. They go around to the other side of the building. I follow the woman into the front door of the building, she is already at the stairwell and heading up at a surprising speed. I follow her, I am hoping I don't run out of energy while trying to chase her. I don't, and we reach what seems to be the penthouse area. We exit the penthouse onto a patio garden on the top of the building. The clouds and lightning are all around us now, and I see a strange creature standing on what seems to be a path of solid black clouds that leads into a vortex of clouds and lightning in the sky. The creature looks a lot like the grim reaper… the skeletal figure is holding a small baby wrapped in pink blankets, it is laughing evilly. The woman charges out and says the thing will not have her child, she then fires a blast of energy from her hand that hits the skeletal creature right in the center of its head. Her energy isn't powerful enough to kill it. I have another plan. I add my energy to her, focusing on it being healing energy, that seems like the right thing to do. My energy comes from the song Frozen, hers is an attack. Her attack weakens the thing's defense enough that my healing energy penetrates and has its proper effect. A strange golden energy surrounds the skeletal figure and it disappears. I telekinetically pull the baby towards us and hand the girl to her mother.


Pirates of DDO
I am on a dock, there are two men with me, and they look like they are ready for a fight. I have a feeling of recognition, but I'm not sure of who they are. I am thinking one of them is Nomad and the other is MoSh. We get onto a ship and head out into the ocean, the ship is an old style sailing ship. The wind is strong and the ship moves quickly, there is another ship in the distance. We are catching up with that ship at a quick rate, and soon I am able to see that it is a pirate ship.

We catch up quickly and then prepare to board the pirate ship. The reason we are chasing the ship is that the pirates have a hostage, they kidnapped a woman from the previous town and she is being held on the ship. We board the pirate ship, and a fight breaks out immediately. There are many pirates on the ship, and the three of us engage them in battle using swords. I am fighting quite a few of the pirates, I see a chance to try an interesting move… I swing around on one of the rope riggings on the sails and kick three pirates over the railing of the ship into the ocean. I see them down below trying to swim toward the ship as if they think they can climb the side, or maybe there's a rope or a ladder somewhere around the ship. They don't make it, there are fins circling down there, and those find aren't dolphins. I hear them scream and then there is blood in the water. No time for that. I am being attacked again, I think we have to find out where the hostage is. I telepathically scan the mind of one of the pirates and discover she is being held below deck. I am busy, but I call out to the man I think is MoSh and tell him where she is. MoSh heads below deck immediately. I continue fighting pirates, cutting one, blocking the sword of another, running a third through. I jump down into a hatch into the cargo hold to avoid being hit by one of the pirates' swords. I land in a pile of treasure, gold coins, gems, silver… wow… I think most of it will be returned to those from which it had been stolen. But no one would notice a little bit missing… I grab a few handfuls of coins and gems and shove them into my pockets.
