      Help with Deild

About a week ago I started to work on the DEILD method. Last night I finally woke up with my eyes closed and completely still. In a couple of seconds I was in half SP. However I was not able to transition to full SP or a LD. Any reasons for this? I think I may have gotten to excited , but I don't know. Also tips and comments would b great. I'm new to this forum and only had 1 Ld (DILD) so sorry if I'm inexperienced. Oh yea sorry if the writing is bad, i'm on my iPad.

First, I would suggest that you pay a bit less attention to SP, as it is not necessary for a successful DEILD transition (or pretty much anything else). Staying calm and confident that you'll be asleep and dreaming again soon are also good ideas.

Since there is more to DEILD than meets the eye (or less, depending on your perspective/what you've been told), I humbly suggest you check out the DEILD session of my DVA WILD class. Also, you might want to check out Dutchraptor's DEILD Guide, as it too might hold some answers for you.

Good luck with your next dive, and welcome to Dreamviews!

LDleader you have been trying ssild for a while right? Take a notebook and write like 20 times, "when I ssild I will remember to stay still." I used to do this before I started forgetting to stay still.
Anyways, so far, Every time I've woken up from a ssild, it has always been a false awakening in my bed, thats why I think deild works so well after a ssild seems to have ended. If you ssild, when you "wake up," stay still and immagine yourself being zapped by electricity starting from your head down your spine. When you feel something "seems different" then you know you can get up. Often I feel that the FAs produced by ssild seem so realistic that you spend the whole thing convinced youve woken up, until you actually do wake up.

When you wake up, do not visualize SP or whatever process you need to go through, just visualize your next dream and you in it. It a few moments you will be in there, fully lucid.

I use deild as a way to fight FA's once Im out of a SSild, deild work 100% of the time in FA's, heh, go figure, but if it's not in fa, then you need to do it while you are still all dreamy and stuff.
