Yeah. I would, tough. In fact, I am considering getting a prescription :p

I was on xanz for over 4 years. Every day, 4mg.
The reason why is because I burnt my know how up with LSD, and I'm not an advocate for these medications, but sometimes the "hippie" approach doesn't have enough manpower to get the job done.

I mean, you gotta do whatcha gotta do to keep yourself from blowing your head off, or worse yet: Becoming a Democrat.

I would say if one takes the hippy approach, do not take the drugs and forget the tradition. You cannot win this battle by extracting what you like from an approach and ignoring the rest.

Do guns change brain chemistry and cause depersonalization? Cuz SSRIs do...

Do you have a source for the SSRI users and school shootings?

Agreed. Source; and then we will value your opinion and information.

You're acting like everyone is born with the impulse to kill people.

We all contain a lower animal brain within our larger brain, so yes. If the right chemical signals are present, that can suppress the civilized behaviours and allow the violent impulses to come out. Remember, humans are mammals, and every other mammal species is incredibly violent compared to humans. The difference is we have a frontal cortex large enough to override those violent instincts. What happens if drugs like SSRIs reduce the activation of the frontal cortex?

There we have it. You should not be on SSRIs. Good to know for you. Use this knowledge for yourself. Don't be a fundamentalist. Different strokes, man.

This is true, the prefrontal cortex is involved in decision making, differentiating between good and bad/right and wrong and basically regulates social behavior. Damage to the prefrontal cortex has been shown to decrease socially acceptable behavior as well as prompting amoral behavior.

Personally I agree with the saying different strokes, different folks in this situation. I took wellbutrin for a couple months when I was 14 (my parents found out I smoked pot on the regular and thought I was depressed, which I was but who the fuck wasn't depressed when they were 14?) it didn't help me like meditation and well, weed did so I stopped taking it and have never felt better but Ive also met some people who cant even function without antidepressants so it depends on the circumstance. Regarding the ethics of prescribing teenagers antidepressants, I guess that's a whole different topic.
