      Remembering a dream while dreaming

Has anybody else done this? While dreaming, you remember something that happened to you, and you figure out that it was a dream that must have occurred earlier.

If you can't figure out what I'm saying, there's an entry in my DJ with what I'm talking about. http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...81&postcount=3

I've definitely done that before. One of the reality checks I perform is to think back on my recent memories, and make sure they all make sense. "How did I get here? What was I dong an hour ago? Does anything seem fishy?"

      I'm not sure.

Two nights ago, during a dream, I got the feeling that I'd seen that place before. I KNOW I haven't been there in real life, yet it seemed very familiar. I don't remember dreaming about it, but it may be that I have dreamt about it, but forgotten.

I guess my answer is "yes".

Yeah, this happens to me all the time. Usually after I have an LD, I'll have another dream directly after it where I'm actually telling someone I know about the dream I just had.

I just found it curious because I'm not likely to remember my dreams at all, much less recall one within a successive dream. Add to that the fact that I was (and still am) sick. I can't recall anything when I'm sick.

I suppose, though I think it happens more in lucids, like "This place seems familiar... oh right, I had it some time ago and did this and this" and the like.

Sure, it happens from time to time. I get those "Ah, I've dreamt about this before." thoughts. However, I always fail to realize that I'm dreaming while I'm having those thoughts.
