      Just Discovering Lucid Dreaming

Hi everyone! My name is Scarlett, I just turned thirteen, I enjoy reading, competitive dance, and needle felting (it's a really fun craft!), and I had my first Lucid Dream ever last night! I had never heard of Lucid Dreaming before (I probably would have thought you would automatically wake up or something if you realized you were dreaming while you were dreaming, lol), but I did a little bit of research and it sounds really interesting. It's so amazing to me that just copying down your dreams in the morning can help improve your memory of your dreams. I would love to give intentional lucid dreaming a try, if any of you would kindly point me to some resources or have any tips for beginners. And I have just a few quick questions. Almost all of the Lucid Dreaming websites I visited recommended dream journaling as a basis for starting lucid dreaming. Do I have to? I already keep a "day" journal. And if I do, do I have to write down all of the dreams I remember (which would take a long time. I generally remember most of my dreams) or just one? And (this may be a stupid question), but should I capitalize lucid dreaming? Thank you so much!
      Sweet Dreams,
      Scarlett

Hi there ScarlettD! I have 7 ferrets! I noticed you have one in your avatar. Too cool, is that on your pet?

I do not always ream journal, but when I do it always helps many aspects of my lucid dreaming. You do not need to record every dream, just make an effort to icrease your ability to recall your dreams later in the day. You may remember them for the first 15 minutes upon waking, but normally they fade fast. DJing is a tool to improve your ability to recall them like waking memories.

You do not capitalize lucid dreaming, unless you want to. I do not, normally.

Hello Sivason!! I do have a ferret named Rascal, but he won’t stay still enough for me to take a good photo of him . I just found this picture on the internet somewhere. I admire you for being able to handle seven ferrets. Sometimes I have trouble keeping up with just one!
Anyway, I guess I’ll just have to bite the bullet and give dream journaling a try. It’s a good think I hoard blank journals!
