      A Devil's Sketchbook

      Needed somewhere to post my dream-related sketches.

      When I say "needed", I mean that I have a pathological need to show off. Critique is very very welcome, of course.

      From this journal entry, The Devil You Know. The devil being, well, me.



      Self-portrait standing with DCs Ariel and Rick. Rick doesn't look pretty because I don't like him because he shot me.



      Digital WIP. Not pretty because my digital painting skills need work and I got bored.



      Improved sketchy version. Watercolour and ink. Or is that gouache?

      Nope, just some really murky watercolour.

      Haha, thanks. I usually use image search for my dj entries, too. Doing this every time would be waaay too labour intensive.

      the way you proportion you human figures is incredible. you also draw the human face very well. which is something i personally cannot do. my only concern is that the figures are place the same way in every pic, make them look like they are moving it would be lots better. KEEP IT UP!!!

      I've been neglecting this thread, haven't I? Thanks to everyone who commented. I wrote up a more detailed response, but my browser crashed on me. Curses!

      lucidmax, I am totally in love with your comments.

      p0k3, I think you're right about the poses. I vaguely remember trying out the same pose multiple times, trying to figure out how to make it work, but it's definitely time for something new. (I really need to work on my figure drawing, too.)

      And @Hazel, just in case you're still around. That one was inspired by this dream.

      I think it's the Intuos 4 Large... it's been a few years. There's been plenty of times I've wished I just bought the small one, though.

      In related news, I'll post a few more sketches tonight. That's the plan. I'll stick to it, really.
