Angry Grr.. an entire year, and no success lucid dreaming..

I have been attempting my very hardest for the last year, at least 3 times a week, with WILD, WBTB, DILD, DEILD, and a bunch of others. No success. Is it possible that some people just can't lucid dream?

Some people have a harder time lucid dreaming than others, however anyone can lucid dream.

Negative attitude like that really doesn't help you become lucid. You should try choosing only one technique to get better at instead of doing a bit of all of them.
Also it might help to get your recall up. Good luck!

Dream journal? Reality checks? What have you done to try lucid dreaming? What does your very hardest mean? 3 times a week.... Why not 7?

You need to focus on DILD then. Do some intensive RCing:

      - Every day RC at least two times, additionally RC when something out of the ordinary happens
      - Regularly question how you got to the place you are in
      - Find a dreamsign then RC every time you see it (if your dreamsign is a green pair of trousers, RC when you see something green)
      - Each time you RC stabilize

When going to sleep, I want you to try to not move and focus on reverse blinking. If you need to move, just do it-- it doesn't really matter but it'll help you DEILD big time.
You'll need to focus on having an LD each night. Expect it to happen, because if you apply these methods together regularly it'll happen soon. Ignore any other techniques for the mean time, and try your best to get decent rest-- abolish any alarms you might have setup for WBTB, you should ignore that method if you are going for DEILD.
Keep a DJ and I'll keep up to date with your progress. I will try to make this work for you, if you want it. I also encourage you to get involved with the community, immersing yourself into lucid dreaming will let you get excited about it again and will tell your subconscious to wake the hell up. Who knows, you might learn something too.

There are a lot of assumptions in this post. I am sure if he is trying his hardest, he isn't just doing it 3 times a week lol.. Dream Journals and Reality Checks are common sense so I am sure he is trying those as well.. sometimes it just takes some people longer than others... Loaf has some pretty good advice, I would just stick with that. I do believe it is very important to flood your thoughts regularly with ideas of lucid dreaming and this forum should definitely help with that
