TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
      TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!

      1. How old did you start lucid dreaming? Training, 4 years old, first induced, 13 years.

      2. Do you still lucid dream or have you finished it? I still do it, and hopefully, it will be like that until I die lol

      3. Which induction technique helped you first time lucid dream? DILD, via gravity RC.

      4. Which induction technique do you usually use? DILD, via gravity RC.

      5. How has lucid dreaming been helpful you (for example involving abilities, increasing self-confidence, getting motivation, getting inspiration, overcoming nightmares etc)? Release of stress, the fun, practicing certain scenarios, change on a state of mind, studying and thats all I think.

      6. How has lucid dreaming been harmful for you?
It isn't (for me), thats the good part.

      7. Do you believe that when somebody dies in a dream, then he or she really dies? No, because if it were true, I would be an undead... has died way to many times lol
Tough if you ask me, some people due to illness may die to the shock.

      1. How old did you start lucid dreaming?

At 19 I found DV and became interested in LDing.

      2. Do you still lucid dream or have you finished it?

I'm not as motivated as I once was, but I still look forward to being lucid. I'll never not be interested in dreams.

      3. Which induction technique helped you first time lucid dream?

      MILD plus WBTB

      4. Which induction technique do you usually use?

      DILD

      5. How has lucid dreaming been helpful you (for example involving abilities, increasing self-confidence, getting motivation, getting inspiration, overcoming nightmares etc)?

It's helped me to appreciate and enjoy my normal dreams even more and has greatly improved my recall. Through this, I have developed some great ideas for the books I'm writing (which I probably won't finish for another 30 years at this rate) I've also enjoyed the company of fellow lucid dreamers and have made some very good friends. I've also had the opportunity to help others who are starting out on the road to lucid dreaming and it's a rewarding experience to share what I've learned.

      6. How has lucid dreaming been harmful for you?

Other than me spending more time than I should at DV, it hasn't

      7. Do you believe that when somebody dies in a dream, then he or she really dies?

Absolute not. I've died a few times in my dreams and I've always managed to come back... At least I'm pretty sure (j/k)

The only exception I'd say in that case is if someone had a weak heart or other severe physical disorder and had a horrible nightmare that gave them a heart attack. I highly doubt that that is a regular occurrence, though.

      1. How old did you start lucid dreaming? 16

      2. Do you still lucid dream or have you finished it? Still practicing

      3. Which induction technique helped you first time lucid dream? Basically a combination of reality checks, dream journaling, MILD, and WBTB (DILD and WILD are not techniques but pathways to lucidity)

      4. Which induction technique do you usually use? LDS (Lucid Dream Supplement)

      5. How has lucid dreaming been helpful you (for example involving abilities, increasing self-confidence, getting motivation, getting inspiration, overcoming nightmares etc)? Mainly it has helped me become more lucid in daily life, to fully appreciate all my senses. I guess it's also just a really cool hobby to have and bring up in conversation with people.

      6. How has lucid dreaming been harmful for you? Other than losing a few hours of sleep to WBTB, there have been no harmful effects

      7. Do you believe that when somebody dies in a dream, then he or she really dies? No, I have died in dreams several times and the dream just keeps on going or I wake up.

      1. How old did you start lucid dreaming? 15 or 16, had a natural one

      2. Do you still lucid dream or have you finished it? I most certainly still lucid dream

      3. Which induction technique helped you first time lucid dream? It was a natural DILD, so I used no techniques.

      4. Which induction technique do you usually use? Reality checking.

      5. How has lucid dreaming been helpful you (for example involving abilities, increasing self-confidence, getting motivation, getting inspiration, overcoming nightmares etc)? Interest in life, confidence, outlook on life is more positive. It's easier to deal with things if you tell them it's just bullshit you're perceiving

      6. How has lucid dreaming been harmful for you? I sleep way too much. I wouldn't say lucid dreaming has been harmful at all though. Dreamviews is my problem!

      7. Do you believe that when somebody dies in a dream, then he or she really dies? No. I also think whoever started that was an absolute moron. If Jim dies, how the hell did you know Jim was dreaming when he died?! I also always wake up when I die in dreams, obviously.

      7. Do you believe that when somebody dies in a dream, then he or she really dies?
Im a superstition man, so im open to any theory. In the book "The Lathe of Heaven" something like this is true, but it is of course a fictional book.

      2. I very much so still LD... I would do it every night if I could.
      3. None. It just happened. I was experiencing sleep disorders as a youth.
      4. I have developed my own over the years. Self hypnosis and audio CD's.
      5. I love nightmares now. They get more interesting as you age. LD has shown me that there is a whole lot more going on in the world then we will know for a thousand years. It been a life-affirming adventure for me.
      6. Not at all. In some stressful times, when my LD is very active, it has a calming effect.
      7. HA! I was shot in the head last night! By a Nazi, no less... while I was watching Spielberg film a war movie. Of course, I made a doctor appear and he miraclously fixed my head in a few seconds.
