Lucid at the END of a dream (again)

Dreaming, then realized I was dreaming, I tripped and fell down to blackness then woke up

I seem to realize I'm lucid at the end of dreams, this is the 3rd time now

Truth be told, that's the only weakness I see in DILDS. It sucks to have a 30 minute dream, and become lucid in the last couple of moments. Happens all the time.
      Lucid dreams, gotta love em.

That happens to me sometimes, but it's the risk you take with DILDs. Lucidity is completely spontaneous, meaning you could become lucid right at the beginning, or at the end. You can always DEILD back into the dream, which is easier when you're lucid if you ask me. That way you know you're going to wake up, so you don't have to "stop" yourself like you'd have to if you're not lucid. But beware of FAs.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I imagine the problem lies in waking up = your mind becoming slightly more aware, so while you are waking up, you get lucid and then finish waking up, puffins advice is good, you should try to DEILD whenever that happens.
