      Ugggh! so frustrating!

I have tried for hours today to have a WILD. I am working on DILDS and DEILDS as much as I can, but that takes time, and I'd like a technique I can use now. I have tried every technique I can think of, from just falling asleep while watching the light patterns I see (ended up just slipping in and out of consciousness, no success there) to imagining myself sinking into my mattress, to the classic count up while laying completely still. I even tried my own technique of imagining myself floating on water that is constantly rising, and then falling through the surface and sinking to the bottom.

nothing is working! I lay there as long as I can until I either drift in and out of consciousness, or get so bored I cant stand it! What am I missing!!!

Stay confident and keep a DJ! Everyone has a dry spell, but don't worry you will eventually get out of it. I once had a dry spell for about 2-3 months and after that I decided to get more motivated and stay confident and ended up having about 4 lucid dreams in one week!

Dude, these things take time. Especially WILDS. Some people don't get them after months of trying. Be patient.
      Lucid dreams, gotta love em.

I know kind of how you feel, I've been trying a lot lately with only 1 semi-succesfull attempt.
The thing which made it work for me (at least I think it was) was repeating in my head "I am entering a dream" after I started hearing noices and feeling weird.

I understand how frustrated you are, I'm going through a WILD dryspell right now, and it's been more than a month. But this week I managed to hit sleep paralysis twice, though, because I decided not to think too much about WILDing, and instead just think about it in the back of my head. I didn't put much effort into the WILDing aspect, just trying to relax and breathe deeply. Maybe this can help you, too. Good luck!
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Exactly puffin. And that's how WILDs should be done. Just going to sleep normally with an extra twist, it takes a lot of practice.

I just wish I could have just one lucid dream. I've only had 1 or 2 and those were only semi-lucid, and only lasted about 30 seconds.

But thats normal when you start, being short and all <.<
Plus, all techniques take time and effort, so really, going for WILD while trying other stuff will only build up stress.
