how to practice awareness in real life ?

what should i be looking out for ?
and how do i increase my awareness.. by focusing on things that are happening right now, and seeing if anything is out of place ?
cause everything is always normal, so idk, im kind of confused

Mindfulness seems like something more like consideration... I've always heard awareness. Anyways, check out puffin's dild guide! Pretty helpful!

Anyways, you're not going to get anywhere in he frame of mind that everything is normal. You have to learn to question details. Like i'm sitting here in the kitchen and I look around and I see many things out of place. There is a wine glass on the table, my parents don't drink wine much at all. The kitchen is a mess, which it never is. When did we get this kind of tile? Since when did the table have this scratch? Questions like these you should be asking. Try really hard to convince yourself that you are dreaming, then do a reality check and expect it to say you're dreaming. You don't need to notice things terribly out of the norm, you could even ask questions about normal things to convince yourself that it's not normal. I could ask myself "Since when does mom wear a bun in her hair?" when in reality she wears them a lot, but tell yourself that she doesn't! The idea is to question reality regularly.

Zelgius, I've been trying to be more aware in addition to my normal RC's but now I'm totally changing the way I go about it because of this. I also had the problem of "everything's always normal" but that really does make a lot of sense! Thanks for the advice!!

I do what LaBerge says in his book "Exploring the world of Lucid Dreams". Any time I think to do it (usually 5 times a day, or so) I will look around and really just take in what I'm seeing. I'll pay attention to the color of everything, the texture of everything, the sound of everything, the taste of everything and while I'm doing that I'll narrate what I'm doing in the first person e.g:

"I am in the middle of my office. I can feel the soft rug underneath my bare feet. Outside of my window I can hear a dog barking. It's day out and beams of light are fading in through my blinds." And so on. Be as descriptive as you want but really invest in what you are doing.
As children we believe anything is possible. As adults, we need to remember it.
