OK, I'm so frustrated right now. As I've heard, SP is somewhat a different experience for most individuals. I can lie in bed forever and SP isn't just gonna hit me. I don't force it, the closest I've ever gotten to it (I think) is the sensation of my body "swirling" and a somewhat slight "sinking" sensation after. As this happens, my breathing pattern slowly changes and I suddenly loose the sensation. If I lie there still for another five minutes or so, The sensation comes back and no matter how I control it, It's hard because, My breathing slows down and It's like I'm not getting enough air. Not to mention, in this stage. I feel like "the sun is 4 feet away from me". I don't know how close I am to it and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. |

It's really frustrating to me. I want to get to the point of SP. I've spent like four hours in bed yesterday just trying to get to this point. |
|
I've been trying that it's just that when I have the time, I would just relax and try a WILD. I know I shouldn't be hopping all over the place with techniques but, I'm really excited and want to have a LD. |

Are you just laying there waiting for sp to hit. If you are you are doing it wrong. You should actually be trying to fall asleep first but staying conscious enough to feel the transition. You stay conscious by using an anchor to keep track of as your drifting off to sleep. The anchor could be counting your breaths, the cloths that your wearing, or just a fan in your room. So as your falling asleep, you want to use the anchor to keep track of so that you don't totally lose consciousness. I think my spelling is off. But keep the anchor in the back of your mind because you don't want to be thinking about it the whole time. |

I completely understand what you're talking about now. As I'm falling asleep that's when I get those strange feelings but, when I start to think about my breathing more, and as it slowly changes, I stop feeling the sensation and I have to try all over. |

Lately, I've been trying to do WILDS. the last time I did, I header a sound for the first time, a low sound, just like someone is mowing the lawn a few houses away. |

Goals:
Super speed running [ ], flying decently [ ], Having a nice long conversation with a DC [ ], Summon someone/something [ ], Meeting my DG [ ]
How do you normally fall asleep? What do intentionally do, and what do your thoughts do automatically? Next time you fall asleep, watch as a passive observer. This should give you some hints about how later to coax yourself closer to the edge. |
|
Yeah what Robot_Butler said. As you drift asleep you'll notice that you will start to think about random crap or you'll think about something and then your mind will automatically take over. The process is really natural so it has to be like that when you attempt to WILD, you can't force it |

So when I get the strange random thoughts, I don't focus on them I just passively watch or observe? |
