Has LD ever caused YOU sleeping problems?

I am trying too hard and it's causing me sleep problems because of a huge exitement from now on i wont try WILD for a bit of time and just focus on sleeping when im tired and writing in my dream journal the Lucid Dreams will come eventually and when they do THEN i'll take up the harder WILD part.

I think i'll just continue to sleep in a regular sleep patern for this month and do randomly reality checks whenever i feel like im dreaming, the rest will pay off itself later.

Yeah lucid dreaming can be exciting which makes falling asleep hard.

I would recommend getting on a regular sleep schedule. Wake up and fall asleep at the same time evey day. If you are still having trouble sleeping try exercising more during the day.

      Hmm.
Maybe if you are experiencing sleep problems or sleep deprivation, maybe try a method where you dont have to WBTB..
      For example, DILD, or MILD..
I personally recommend KingYoshi's ADA (All Day Awareness) technique.
This will help you to be more aware in your dreams, and maybe triggering lucidity.

Also, try repeating throughout the day, as much as you can "I am dreaming". It should store in your subconscious so that you will remember it more often, and hopefully, while you are dreaming.
But, dont say it without meaning, when you say it, actually believe for a second that you might actually be dreaming. Think back to how you got to where you are right now. How did you get there? Focus on things around you, be aware of your surroundings. Also try doing a reality check every time you say it.. Try one like, sticking your finger through your other hand or something. If it goes through, congrats!
So that if you do say "I am dreaming" In your dream, you will become more aware of your surroundings, or notice that you cant remember how you got to where you are, thus triggering lucidity.

      Hope that helps.

Ya I often get too caught up in preparing for LD or reading too much then I can't fall asleep and my dreams are all messed up. Makes me feel like crap in the morning, like I had no mental peace that night.

It's because of my exitement and trying to WILD some nights before sleep, this has convinced me to just sleep on a regular basis and keep writing dreams in my Dream Journal and try smaller easier things before going pro, so, when the time will come, i WILL master WILD.

Wow , have been seeing you around alot lately , you seem to be excited about lucid dreaming. Not that it's a bad thing , in fact , it might trigger lucidity even faster. Don't stop trying!....and neither will I! *determined face*

Well , trying really hard doesn't work for everybody...I don't even know if it works for ME , i'm still in the experimental stage , although I do know that there is one thing that you cannot have lucid dreams without:motivation. And thats what I meant when I said "keep trying".

Yes you can. They can be accidental. However, when I was going through a period without any motivation, still remembering most of my dreams, I got about 1 LD per two - three months.

Lately I've been having issues with my recall, so I'm focusing on that more than my LDs themselves.

I find that trying to MILD keeps me up at night. Repeating the mantra in the head for a bit doesn't hurt, but when I try to visualize myself become lucid and hold onto thoughts about lucid dreaming as I fall asleep, my mind goes into hyper-alert mode and can't sleep. Once that happens it takes a long time to forget about lucid dreaming for some reason which keeps me up.
