      Quick question aboud WILD'ing

Hello everyone, i am generally new in this region but have tried lucid dreaming a few months ago for a while but i gave up. i recently decided to start trying again, and a lucid dream would really be a morale booster for me lol. Basically, during the WBTB method, you usually have to sleep a few hours and wake up to the point that your conscious. If you sleep for about 5-6 hours and wake up, is there a time limit in which u have to have to go back to sleep (regarding REM sleep etc.?) Is it possible to sleep for about 5-6 hours, get some stuff done for a few hours, and then rely on an afternoon nap and have a higher chance of attaining lucidity? (even though this could be a surefire way of ending up with sleep deprivation lol)

No, there isn't. It's really personal. For some people, 1 minute is enough. Others prefer half an hour. I wouldn't do much more than that if I were you though. If you do that you will be too awake and have a hard time falling asleep (lying still and stuff is ofcourse pointless if you can't fall asleep). I suggest starting with 10 to 15 minutes.

If I were to attempt a WBTB I would almost immediately try to fall back to sleep. You don't want those Beta brainwaves to start popping as you will become too awake to fall back asleep quickly.

Naps do work - probably better for some people than others. If I'm tired enough I can get right to sleep after being awake for a few hours, but sometimes I can't. So it sort of depends on how well you're able to fall back to sleep.
