Question What method/variation is most successful for you?

      Hey everyone
I know this is probably a thread but I thought it might be worth asking, what is your favourite or preferred method of attaining lucidity and do you have any variations of the normal methods that work for you?

You should have made this a poll
WILD and MILD work best for me. I am trying to master WILDing, but MILD has a fair success rate for almost everyone. The most important thing is believing in the mantra you use.

DEILD is responsible for all 4 of mine. Even if they were all very very brief.

Every lucid dream I've had has been DILD/MILD. I've tried other methods, but I haven't had any success with them. So I'm just sticking with what I already know.

MILD/DILD. WBTB helps those two go up in efficiency A LOT.

And I've had a few experiences with me being materialized in the dream world from WILDS. I think I had 2 OBEs (the feeling was so smooth and clear and completely different from the other LDs I had)

So the general consensus is that WILD is generally less reliable/harder to master and the majority of lucid dreams are MILD/DILDs?

Yeah, because normally you want to WILD into a REM cycle, which is so hard to measure because everyone is different, but it is rewarding in the end. But that's what I think.

MILD/DILDS are just practicing intent and motivation until it kicks in I guess.

Another general consensus seems to be that beginners are better of with DILD/MILD , as WILDs require some previous knowledge or experience of the dream world or dream state

Well, I've had a WILD, a MILD, a DEILD and two DILD's. Kinda hard to say what works best at this point.

DEILD is by far the best method for me. It's extremely reliable and I have about a 90% success rate when trying it. It accounts for about 70% of my lucids

DEILD stands for Dream Exit Initiated Lucid Dream. It's pretty much a shorter version of the WILD that is done right when you wake up from a dream. If you stay still when you first wake up your body will still be in sleep paralysis, but it will be in the later stages. This saves a lot of time and patience because it usually allows you to go straight back into a dream. Remembering to stay still right when you wake up can be a little tricky though.

Do you have to stay "awake" as you do in a WILD? surely that can be pretty difficult too?

Well, to be honest, the 3 LD experiences I've had during my time here were nothing of the types mentioned. In two of them I was just conscious from the very start. Nothing seemed to induce the lucidness. In another one, it was a sudden realization made by conclusions on whether or not the happening could be possible.

WBTB + MILD is a pretty solid combo. Almost a 90% success rate if done right.

      Close.
When you WILD, you keep aware. Now how do you expect to lucid dream when you're awake? Unless you day dream, of course

I mostly DILD, usually from some sort of MILD, or just awareness. But also, I love DEILD, I used to practice a lot and have many of them, but I sorta forgot about it xD
DEILD can be an amazingly solid technique if you can master it.

I would try DEILD but I am incredibly lazy and like my sleep

Do you find that the induction technique used changes the content, mood, aesthetic or any other aspects of the dream?

You don't lose sleep when you DEILD. It just takes practice, just like any other technique. :p

Areyoume, that's great, how did you find the experience? and could you tell me more about how it worked for you?
Erii, I don't lose sleep but you know, getting up and my body generally disagree
