      Question Lucid at young age

Hey i'm ten year old and very recently discovered. I have been doing reality checks every 5-10 minutes and has read a lot about lucid dreaming. I am also eating things like bananas to get B6 to recall my dreams better, as last night I failed to recall any of my dreams. Right now (when I posted this) its my second day discovering lucid dreams.

Is there anything I should worry about doing this stuff at young age?

There's nothing to worry about lucid dreaming, no matter your age. There is no proof that lucid dreaming is bad for and many believe it is actually good for you. Besides, it's a lot of fun!

Many people believe that the younger you are the easier it is to lucid dream. In fact, if you describe what it is to people they will often say something like, "Oh yeah, I had a few of those as a kid." However, lucid dreaming takes a lot of practice and discipline to get good at, and many people don't have the patience for it. But if you keep at it and don't give up, you will have lucid dreams.

      Good luck and happy dreaming!

Thank you so much for the reply. I personally am doing the DILD approach as I hate waking up in the middle of the night. I learned how to do void mediation so I will put a mantra before going to sleep saying something about "remembering my dreams".

This stuff is purely interesting and right now its my number one to lucid dream, I just can't wait for night!

Thank god I'm not the only one! It's also good to know that lucidity is still attainable when you're very young.

am a bit older.....14 years old....but i already had 6 LDs in 8 days after only 6days of practise....i think that LDing maybe easy for us because we don't have alot of things that we have to do and wee don't have stress, stress is the number one lucid killer

Plus our brains are more active as they are constantly growing and I think school. Or maybe school decreases the chances because school can be stressful.

Waking up in the middle of the night and then falling asleep again is my favourite method for lucid dreaming, works almost every time.

Also, yeah, when I found out about this I was extremely excited. When I actually started practicing it I was surprised how easy and fun it was.

Anyway, good luck and happy dreaming

Certain people can do it faster than others. Plus some people put more effort into it than others.

Age has nothing to do with it. You seem to be enthousiastic and hard working for lucidity. Keep going like that and you'll be a boss at this! I think it is great to start at a young age, because people tend to get more stressed and stuff when they get older, making it harder to learn this. As for the void meditation: great choice! I found it to be very useful for LDing and for other stuff as well. It is the greatest way to relax and chill out in my opinion. Good luck!

      Agreed.
By the way, some people say age helps, other say it makes it worse, others say it doesn't matter.
      What's the definitive answer?

For your amount of LD's and stuff, it makes no difference. I'd say it helps to start younger because you need to put in a lot less effort at the time you need to worry about tons of homework, or paying the rent or whatever. There are probably downsides to it, but I have no idea what at this point in time.

So, as an answer: whether it is better than starting when you are older can be discussed and there is no definitive answer to it, but it will not make a difference in your succes with LDing.

i believe it's when the imagination is going and flowing most, and attention either sticks or gets lost because when you're growing up, you don't know "anything" really and everyday you experience something new. I believe it's these experiences that keep oldies from having as many dreams because of repetitiveness. we experience and learn new things everyday and keep thinking about them to remember this information. kids don't have that obligation, only schoolwork and school is complete bullshit.

not once was i taught how to breathe growing up.

i definitely noticed my dreams become less vivid and less imaginative as i grew up. i would have some crazy cool dreams around 12-15, things i would never have been able to apprehend had i been any younger.

i wish our life was actually built upon a strong foundation of where we're going, not just improving. even ignorance is better then assumption.

sorry for the ramble, but yeah i think it all has to do with how we live our lives, it's so blank and repetitive that we dream about something and it feels so normal because we kinda subconciously walk through the day like that.

obviously not everbody is the same, but i believe these generations are being raised for failure and hardship.

good luck with your LD's, wish i could remember to do that many RC's lol.
