What time are you getting up to perform your WBTB? You may be getting up too late and confusing your body into thinking your getting up. I would try to get up earlier than what you are now and then see if your still having problems. I have the same issue with the involuntary opening and find that using pressure from my blankets (just puting the covers over my eyes) or a sleep mask really works. Try concentrating on one point in the center of your forehead too if you think your eyes are moving too much- this works for me sometimes too. Hope this helps!
