Question i don't even know i was dreaming untill the next morning?

in order to have lucid dreams, i need to realise when i'm dreaming. i don't have the problem of that in my dream trying to figure out if it's real, because when the dream is actually happening, i don't know it and it comes to my mind like a tv show the next morning. please help, thank you.

The reason you don't realize you're in a dream is because when we dream, the part of our brain that deals with logic is relatively inactive. It takes practice to "turn on" this part during a dream. This is where Dream Signs come into play. They're basically signposts that lead you to lucidity. They happen all the time in dreams, you just need to know where to look.

Are you keeping a Dream Journal? What you describe sounds like you're recalling your dreams just fine. When you wake up, try writing down whatever you can remember about the dream(s) you just had. Later you can re-read these dreams and look for any oddities (Dream Signs) that occur regularly in them. Once you are more familiar with your dreams, it will be come easier to recognize them for what they are, as they are happening.

      Hope this helps!

Hey! I'm also new to this site and have the same issue. I never realize when I'm dreaming. I know the reason I have a hard time is because my dreams tend to be very vivid and complex, they feel to real to be dreams, they often even come with fake memories. I'm finding a little success in writing down my dream journal, then looking back over it to compare it to what I did the night before. I'm finding that my early night dreams tend to be influenced by whatever I did the night before just before bed. So when I go to bed now, I recount what I did over the evening, and try to guess what I might dream about. When I do start dreaming and I see something that I recognize from my waking life, it kind of reminds me, Oh yeah, I'm dreaming. I have yet to make myself care while I'm in dream though, lol. It's like I think to myself I'm dreaming, but I can't become aware enough to actually do anything but let the dream continue the way it wants. I don't know if it'll work for you or not, it probably depends on what you dream about (I know it doesn't work with dreams closer to the morning because my dreams then never have anything to do with real life), But I thought I'd share since its working for me and might work for you
