      sleep paralysis at bed time?

      how difficult is it to got to bed at bed time and achive sleep paralysis? cause thats what ive been trying?

      also dose it help at all to lose some sleep before trying sp?

      I think the general notion is that you don't want to be looking to achieve conscious sleep paralysis as soon as you go to bed, it's normally practised in the early morning hours or during an afternoon nap when you will enter into REM sleep. I recommend you look around on this site for information on the WILD technique. Hope that's of some help

      For all practical purposes, it is impossible. You don't dream early in the night, and sleep paralysis only occurs during REM sleep. Try after 4 or 5 hours of sleep. You don't have to interrupt your sleep too much. Just attempt it anytime you catch yourself waking throughout the night.

      Some of the best LD's I have ever had were non-REM dreams at sleep onset. Dreams occur at transition phases of sleep while we slip in and out of delta brainwaves... including the beginning and the end of sleep. REM dreams are the most intense and will not occur until much later in the sleep cycle.
