      Sleep problem

I am practicing now the SAT, ADA and other DILD techniques. Im very confident that im having Lucid dream because of my consistent RCs. But the problem is, I cant get enough sleep. I slept just 5 hours because i have classes and i have to wake up in the morning. WIth this, I can't remember or for me, it's like i didn't have a dream in the night. Does sleep hours affect the dreams to occur?

Yes it does. You'll just have a few dreams in a non REM sleep. You need to sleep more to get a REM sleep.

      Yes, it does.

The majority of our memorable dreams will occur during the later REM cycles which typically occur after 4 -6 hours of sleep. During the first few hours dream durations tend to be short and less memorable.

Get more sleep. It will help.

Also, do not worry about remembering every dream. No need to build anxiety. Just get some rest when you can.

Dreams will increase in intensity and duration the longer you sleep.

8hrs is normal, the more sleep the better but don't get 5 hrs. I get by on around 6 1/2

While most people say that 8 hours is the average amount of time needed, I find that 10 hours works better if I want lucid dreams. I was a lot more successful in achieving lucidity by rearranging my schedule to fit into the extra sleep. Have to wake up the morning? Fine, then I just make sure to go to bed early.

It hasn't been entirely foolproof. It's taken a lot of willpower to shut off the TV and put away the laptop (and the iPhone iPod touch) at 9 PM so I can resist temptation to surf the Web when I should be winding down in preparation for sleep. But when I did, I started having longer dreams, better recall and more lucid dreams.

If you don't sleep for one big block, try naps. Find a good nap time in the late afternoon when you regularly have dreams. If your timing is good, and you are sleep deprived, you will launch immediately into REM. A 20 minute nap can be an amazing 15 minutes of lucid dreaming.
