Hello there, I have a small and simple question.. Does smoking weed affect your ability to go lucid or anything like that? Is it good to do before going to bed and then going lucid or not?
Please explain everything regarding weed and sleeping/dreaming/going lucid..

It is possible to lucid dream while also smoking weed but it will take more of an effort to achieve consistent results. Seeing as weed decreases the quality of your REM sleep, there should be a three day gap between smoking weed and attempting to LD. If you have the willpower you may succeed, otherwise you will have to temporarily give up smoking until you learn how to LD on a weekly basis.

Weed can affect dream recall but as long as your dream recall remains in tact there's no effect on lucidity attainment.

REM is rapid eye movement, the sleep state where you have long dreams with stories to them.
