      New lucid dreaming technique

      Hey,

I've been playing about with a new lucid dream technique for the last 6 months. I call it the Lucid Trance.

It gives me multiple lucid dreams per week. I'd love for some of you to give it a try. Obviously I only know it works for me at the moment.

Maybe I can write it up as a guide for people here if you find it successful.

Here it is Have Multiple Lucid Dreams Per Week: Introducing The Lucid Trance

      cheers

Sleep, hypnosis and dreaming are all tied together. We go through a form of hypnosis every night as we drift off to sleep, whether we realize it or not. I read your article and I like it!

Just a quick little question. those little dots that you speak off i see those constantly, cause i have something that is called visual snow. Or are you talking about different "dots" (Visual snow - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)? If those are the same, wouldn't that mean that im always in a deeper state?

      (Stage 2 – Going deeper

Now comes the hypnotic suggestions. Because you’ve switched that annoying internal voice off you now have direct access to your subconscious mind. Have a look into the backs of your eyelids and see what’s there. You need to really focus and it will become clear. Look as hard as you can. You should see hundreds and thousands of little dots.

All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.

It's best to have failure happen early in life. It wakes up the Phoenix bird in you so you rise from the ashes.

I love it. I'm gonna give this a try. So actually you gotta meditate and get into a trance before you go to sleep?

I can see you sleep through your bedroom window. You're killing yourself with lucid dreaming.

      Hi Ekyu,

It's hard to explain because I don't know what they're called. Visual snow seems quite like it.

All I can say is that when you look into the backs of your eyelids it will never be 100% pure blackness. If you look very very hard you will always see some sort of color differences, or tiny little changes of color that look like dots. These are the things you have to try and use your mind to play about with, as well as the sensations in your mind and body.

Yeah, but more than meditate you use your mind to manipulate your senses which will make your awareness skyrocket in the dream. I've still got a few part to add to the article. But I want to give people the chance to do this easily before they move on.

      Cheers

      Great tutorial!...
When I used to meditate, after a while I would notice myself falling deeper into trance and "looking into other worlds" or "seeing with my eyes closed". I used these meditative visions for other purposes at the time, but I think this is great for bridging that into lucid dreaming.
I like the idea of practicing the first stages of sleep as well. I'll start trying this out and see how it works.

Great tutorial. I will certainly give this a try. One question though. I'm usually not bothered by any inner voice and I normally can push any visuals out of my head whenever I meditate. However, for some reason when I meditate, certain songs jump into my mind. And no matter how hard I try I cannot completely brush them aside. I can stop them for a few seconds, but they come charging back. I've tried the method of singing them out, but it never works. Could this hinder me from entering a trance?

      Awesome tutorial
Although I love how people are like "im gonna try this some night"

this is not something you do in one night, one does not simply enter a good trance by one meditation.. if so, im jelly.

Those dots are visible in the real world too, at least to me, if you look around. Easiest to see while it's dark, but they're always there.

I think if you have songs in your head then this would count as the little voice and you would need to cancel them out. You really should have nothing in your head to be in the trance. Please don't take this the wrong way, but maybe you think you are meditating when you might not be entirely there. You can play about with it. You don't need to enter the trance using the technique I described. And you can always see if the song cancels out when you try and deepen the trance. Maybe it would be good for you if you used Isochronic tones when you meditate and it should cancel out other songs. You could even use the tones to enter the trance.

      I hope that helps.

Sadly, this is true. Though it does get easier the longer you do it. It took me a few weeks to finally enter properly and it was like nothing else I can describe, only topped by lucid dreaming.

I only hope more people are prepared to endure the weeks of learning because it's so powerful.

Yeah, I don't know what they are really. Probably because the eye isn't 100% clear. But it's easy to play about with them when you're in a trance. I'd imagine it's only your brain which thinks they are moving because you trick it into thinking so.

HAHA, yeah, this happens to me a lot. I think it's weird how you can 'see' out of closed eyelids.

I find that using a brainwave entrainement program with a frequency of 5 Hz gets me into the clear mind state in a few minutes. Very helpful to get into a deep meditative state quickly. However, for noobs with this low frequency it usually results in falling asleep.

EDIT I like playing with the stars when I fall asleep, its great fun, been doing thos for a few months and does take practice.

Please click on the links below, more techniques under investigation to come soon...

I always kind of wondered if i was doing it right. I'll do more research on that. The Isochronic tones sound like a possibility. Thanks for the tips.

I've meditated a few times before, haven't done it in a while now, the furthest i got was i would start seeing a bright white light and then it would keep coming and going, im not sure why though i think maybe when i noticed the white light i would get excited and then it would go away.

No, It's actually to help with DILD's. To become aware inside a dream without having to rely on reality checks or dream signs. Yeah, you can WILD, but it's more the actual manipulation of your senses which builds up a huge awareness which transfers over into the dream.

You don't need to say it out loud. Just think it. It's just to help stop the thoughts popping in.

Just be patient. It takes time.
Don't worry if a thought pops up. Just go back to your feeling or watching.
Don't think too hard about it.
Try to really focus on what you're doing. When you focus you forget about thinking. Even if it's just for a second it will build up over time.
