Long ago, I tried to create a dream sign, and apparently it doesn't work that way. As I see it now, the points 1 and 2 could compose the cornerstone of this process.

I'm definitely going to try this. I'm not too great at visualization myself and my dream signs almost never show up in my waking life! Thanks for the little tutorial.

I've just woke up and, well, basically somehow it worked fabulously good! As I see it, possibly there could be some other things playing a role here. But, the most important thing for me, is that finally (at least once by now) I was able to accomplish one of my most precious goals: I got to induce a dream sign and I was able to realize its presence in the dream plot. To probe that, I just say that my excitement woke me up at dawn and it was too hard to go back to sleep.

I'm wondering if it could be possible to incubate more than just one dream sign at the same time or in the same day.

I suppose so! You can definitely try it out. Though, it might lessen the chances of each dream sign popping up, since you are focusing on many things at once. I personally incubate two dream signs everday, snakes and the waterbending thing. Since I started, snakes have been in my dreams about 5-6 nights a week. Still working on getting lucid when I see them though.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

It looks like I need a kind of reminder to start doing it early in the morning since I wake up. I started with 2 now (spiders and coins) but I didn't put too much effort on them due to stress issues basically. I suppose sooner or later they will pop up anyway.

After two days of not thinking too much here's what happened: At first, every time I was thinking about any of the 2 preconceived dream signs, a third one used to come up to my mind: "Vinyls", something like, "of course, I used to realize long ago with this dream sign too", then I didn't pay much more attention on it. So, last night, after having a very interesting film-like dream, I found a box which I already knew was full of vinyls... then I had a long and wonderful LD chain.

Just adding in my two cents...

I find that I most likely remember images that enter my mind during the middle of the day, like during the 3PM hour. I'm not sure why but it seems to be moderately consistent.

I don't know if anyone else notices influential dream signs that are prominent during a certain time of day but it seems mid-afternoon is the best time for me to work on incubating them.

I didn't pay much attention on what time of the day I started to think about my dream signs, although definitively it couldn't be before noon because of the stress, I remember it was some time around mid-afternoon when I best visualized them due to I may have a short pause then.

Nice! I just thought of this on my own today. I'm glad someone else has the same idea. I think I will incubate this wizard man and finally ask him to be my DG.

Oh interesting! I never thought about it before, but now that I think about it, I usually have "dream sign urges" at around mid afternoon too. Maybe because it's siesta time? During this time I am in a very dazy mood and my dream signs pop into my head a lot.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

I have a tendency to remember images, places, or scenes I see during my WBTB break period, where I usually get up and walk around the house. Sometimes the dreams post WBTB will be in real time also (like it's early morning, etc.) as if it's near enough the exact time I left off from the WBTB.

As far as I can see, perhaps the Melatonin levels in the blood stream could be playing a role in the visualization process in order to make it easier during certain times of the day.

Too many variables to pin down...but it is interesting to note.

Might make it easier to incubate dreams for TOTM.
