What the f*ck? Will this count as being lucid or not?

Ok this was really weird but it seems like i was dreaming about being lucid and I know it was a dream? But it didnt have the same feel or excitement as people described, especially for a first one, how confusing and weird? Is this lucid or not, cause I knew I was dreaming but it sort of carried on in to a dream? I also had another one after that where I also knew I was dreaming? And it lasted about 30 seconds, anyone have the slightest clue what the hell I just slept through?

A lucid dream is when your conscious awareness "all that is you" now that you are dreaming. What you are describing is a simulated lucid dream. It sounds like you were lucid for a short moment but then started to dream unaware again but dreaming that you still were lucid if that makes sense to you =)

Don't worry this is normal and even if it might feel a little annoying, remember that if you dream this you are still very close to become fully lucid, because you are more aware than usual.

Three years ago, when I still were new, I would count this as a lucid. Today I don't because it's not full conscious awareness, but don't feel sorry for that, it's still a cool experience right?

In my opinion it doesn't matter if it counts as a lucid dream or not, the important thing is that you learn something from it

You will find tons of simulated experiences in my dream journal as well, so you're not alone

      Keep up the good work!

Would it also be a case of that I ws maybe lucid but had little or no control over my dream? It didn't have the same excitement or feel to it as a lucid dream

Oh yeah and I also remember rubbing hy hands together to see if the clarity gets better, I remember just staring at one thing seeing how good of quality it was and it was actually alright, it wasn't blurry or nothing?

I didn't get excitement for my first lucid dream too. I guess the excitement comes when you get slightly better at it and you start to think of different possibilities in the dream world. It could also be that you had little control in your first few lucid dreams. I had a lucid dream that lasted for barely a minute because I became unstable the moment I gained lucidity or my REM period ended.

I don't think I'm gonna count that one, will it be semi-lucid?

those are pretty common, if you really want a lucid dream. Eventually you will have one of these dreams. im not saying it wasnt a lucid, it could be, but did it feel like you actually could control the dream and make your own decisions or did it just feel like you were ''just going along'' ?

The only thing that classifies lucid dream is if you realized you dreaming.

You can have no control/different level of control in a lucid dream. You can build a spacestation, fight hordes of alien invaders, throw fireballs, morph into a planet, or just go along with the dream, not being able to controll a single thing.

You can have different levels of awareness. It can be foggy or fuzzy, or more detailed, colorful, vivid and real than waking life itself.

It can last from a second to over an hour. It still an LD.

yea man if you knew you were in a dream then you were lucid. All of My Dilds and MIlds felt real at first but then after i woke up and time went on, I slowly starting questioning whether or not i was actually lucid. Almost like you were on autopilot throughout the dream
