I was thinking about lucid dreaming and how we get lucid. You find yourself in a dream and suddenly you think: this is a dream! Why did you think that this was a dream? It could have been thinking about lucid dreaming, doing rc's or your recorded voice heard through your headset telling you that you're dreaming.

This technique uses the same principle, here are the steps:

* find a small object that fits in your fist, let's call it a totem.

* Go to bed holding your totem

* fall asleep with a mantra telling you that you will find your totem in your dream.
