Your highly scientific picture-- I'm sorry, Diagram-- proves, without a doubt, that you must be correct. |

Rawr!
Your post actually started to get me really interested in my meditation practice to improve my lucid dreaming skills, as well as for other reasons. What are your thoughts, or anyone else's who feels like chiming in, on the vipassana practice of mindfulness meditation in relation to lucid dreaming? |

Lucid Goals
- Have a 10+ minute lucid dream
- Take tequila shots with a DC
- Use the force
- Teleport to dream castle by making a portal in dream
- Practice flying
I was practicing vipassana meditation daily for about 4 months (still practicing the mindfulness, but I've been slacking on the formal meditations), in which I wasn't even trying to LD or even keeping a dream journal, let alone doing any particular induction methods. |

i notice a very direct correlation between my meditation time and dream vividness/lucidity, when i check my meditation app and dream journal. |

Check your memory, did any suprising event happpen ? does the present make sense ? visualize what you will do when lucid, and how. Reality check as reminder of your intention to lucid dream tonight. Sleep as good as you can; when going to sleep, relax and invite whatever comes with curiosity. Grab your dream journal immediately as you awake and write everything you can recall (if only when you wake up for good). Keep calm, positive and persistent, and don't forget to have fun along the way
I tend to do the samatha meditation which is more concentrating on a specific thing until the inner-voice disappears. But I have heard good things about all day awareness and vipassana. |
