I'm having an all of the sudden DILD streak, is there a way to keep this up?

Hey guys, I used to be real big on trying to LD about a year ago and had very weak success with few dreams that were very murky over a long period of time. I just started back up, but not quite as intensely as before and my DILD count has skyrocketed. I'm at 2 LDs per month now and it is awesome. I'm just worried the streak might break. Any advice?

“When you call yourself an Indian or a Muslim or a Christian or a European, or anything else, you are being violent. Do you see why it is violent? Because you are separating yourself from the rest of mankind. When you separate yourself by belief, by nationality, by tradition, it breeds violence. So a man who is seeking to understand violence does not belong to any country, to any religion, to any political party or partial system; he is concerned with the total understanding of mankind.”

I don't think it will break, if you keep excited, keep your intent up, keep doing your RCs and mantras and what else you practice and DJ. It may fluctuate, so you may have some really good months and some not so good months, but I don't see why it would stop.

Visit DV, read and post, stay involved. Happy dreams

Keep practicing your DILD techniques, and remember not to get discouraged if you seem to fail. Like gab said, lucid dreams can fluctuate, but if this happens and you decide it's not worth it and give up...well, that will end your streak for sure.

(Unless, of course, you find a period of time in which you've been trying so hard that you've become frustrated with the results. If that were to happen, taking a break and letting your mind relax a bit can actually improve your lucid dreams.)

To add to what was said already. Don't get complacent. When I get a hot streak, I tend to ease up on my the practices that got me there and I see my count taper off. I'd say just keep doing what you've been doing.

I've definitely done this before. The complacent part I mean. When things start getting good I get cocky and lower my "guard" so to speak then I have to spend more time building myself up. Trust me, don't overestimate your ability to get lucid. It will make things harder.
