Hi all |

Maybe you could try a tape recorder? Most cell phones now seem to have something that might let you do that. I know I've used my cell to record before. I have this odd problem of going up to a couple hours before my dream recall hits. So I use my phone rather than try to force myself to recall when the recall itself could happen anywhere in my morning routine. |

If you're ever fed up with life, try having kids. It'll never be the same...
Plus you can do all that cool kid stuff again without looking like a creep. Bounce House, here I come!!!
Everyone else has a picture down here so here's the best band ever...
There are people who use voice recording instead of pen/paper, or typing them digitally. Whatever works for you. |

“Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?”
Like everyone else said, voice recording can work as a method to record dreams. |
|
Also you can write down key words only, not whole sentences, or even develop some kind of short hand way of recording your dreams. As long as you can understand what is in your journal, no one else need to. Another option is cartooning out the dreams if you prefer drawing cartoons to writing. |

You may say I'm a dreamer.
But I'm not the only one - John Lennon

hmmm... so i understand that writing is much more efficient then recording. |

When I started out, I hated writing my dreams as well (still do really). One big advantage of writing outside of the obvious is that it takes no trouble to pick up your journal and ponder the previous night's dreams and your corresponding mistakes (before bed is a great time for this). With audio it might just be too easy to file it away and forget about it. Also, if you tend to use multiple techniques during the night that interfere with immediate recalling time or spend a lot of time lucid dreaming, the process of detailed writing is the best remedy to bring the earlier material back. |

Personally I love going into my dream journal and recalling everything that occurred, but I feel your pain it is a hassle! The thing I don't like about it is I find it sometimes can mess up my sleep schedule. It seems a lot easier to just turn over and try to enter another LD again when awaking from one, but this can muddle dream recall something fierce. But then on the flip side, getting up and writing everything down sometimes just makes me more awake and ruins the flow of things. Hmm..decisions, decisions... |

Yeah before i found a note pad i used my phone's voice recorder, it's kind of nice because you can listen to it at any time in the day. |

I buy fancy leather journals, and really believe what I am doing is serious research. LDs are a new field of study and I like contributing to the science. Someday some descendent of mine might find real value in these writings. Also, maybe years from now I will see some dreams were premonitions of true events. Anyway I usually look fwd to journalling as I relive the experience by doing so. Guess I am not the norm though. |

I can make myself write out lines of my dreams, even when I'm half asleep, but I have another problem. My Dad wakes me up every day, and he gets me up and out of the door in minutes. I have no time to write down my dreams. |

^^ You could wake up a little earlier. |
