      Update me on some popular techniques now (older member)

      What are some popular and efficient techniques at the moment?

      It would be greatly appreciated if you'd provide a link, I want to get back into lucid dreaming and experiment with some techniques.

      Here you can find some tutorials made by staff. They are a product of the revision that is currently ongoing on all guides written

      You can find loads of techniques developed by the member of Dreamviews on this section:

      - You can find FILD, a popular variation of WILD;
      - You can read about ADA, a DILD technique based on awareness;
      - You can discover SSILD, an extremely popular technique in Japan (or is it China? Can't recall)

      Notice that many "old" techniques are still around and many of them have been improved by the community, and of course, remember that DV academy is up and running so feel free to enroll in any classes you find interesting, and of course, we're always around if you got any specific question regarding any aspect of lucid dreaming

      Nope, no breakthroughs. Novadreamer 2 is still not out (and that wouldn't be a breakthrough), and sincerely, I think in general we lucid dreamers are still looking for the instant painless and effortless way to achieve lucidity. I think the LD veterans perspective it's exactly the opposite of the idea of "breakthrough" There's a recent meta-analysis on the effective of several lucid dreaming techniques, and overall, it's not a very optimistic view

      Ahhh, I used to be able to LD 50% of the time during periods where I put lots of effort in.
      To be honest I just want to be able to do it WITHOUT the effort. I want to make it a natural occurance and I think that's the holy grail for veterans.

      Don't we all?! The best things still don't come easy, unfortunately! Effort remains the key.

      Where can I read that?
      My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.
