Think about lucid dreaming all the time. Hang notes saying "lucid dream" all around your home. Write an A on your hand for awareness. Set a reminder on your computer or phone to go off every hour. |

Well I've been keeping a dream journal, and I'm starting to get better recall. Now I just need to be able to realize I'm dreaming in a dream, I've tried RC's but I'm not really the type of person to easily form new habits. So does anyone have any suggestions for a LD virgin? |

Also try putting on a rubber band on your wrist, it might help remind you to RC everytime you notice it. But ye what dutchraptor said. Stay on the forums too! Being around lucid things and places and just talking about lucid dreaming really helps out you in the right mindset. Drop by chat some time. (Wear a helmet and life jacket though) |

I can only agree with paigeyemps. I did not yet form a habit of doing RCs, using mantras etc. but after 3 days of going on the chat regularly and reading some threads on this forum, I got a Lucid Dream without even doing an RC, I just noticed what I did was strange and not possible, so I was dreaming ! (It lasted only 10s because I got too excited, but it's a start) |

Well I'm at this point too , i have increased the dream recall, and I'm doing RC's. When i get a dream , i just think it's reality >.< How do we trigger that moment when you try RC in dream ? |

Actually, it's not really the RC that makes you lucid (although sometimes it does, when you do it out of habit and get lucid). It's your awareness that initially lets you know something's wrong and it's a dream. THEN you do an RC to prove it. I'd say keeo working on your awareness and questioning your waking reality. The more you get used to it, the more you can also naturally tell the difference between waking and dreaming reality, and that makes you more inclined to get lucid when you are actually dreaming. |

Every time you aren't busy or occupied just take a second or two to think about Lucid Dreaming and visualize becoming aware in a dream. Honestly the hardest parts of having DILDs are improving your dream recall and improving the frequency of DILDs after your first LD. Keep it up man. I know some people say not to get too excited about LDing but in my opinion excitement can sometimes cause you to have a LD just because of how much you keep thinking about it and how much you want it. Good luck. |

“When you call yourself an Indian or a Muslim or a Christian or a European, or anything else, you are being violent. Do you see why it is violent? Because you are separating yourself from the rest of mankind. When you separate yourself by belief, by nationality, by tradition, it breeds violence. So a man who is seeking to understand violence does not belong to any country, to any religion, to any political party or partial system; he is concerned with the total understanding of mankind.”
