Forcing yourself to do RC in a dream ?

SO i thought of this : When we are dreaming, we are like in stand by mode with our conscious. So when we dream, we don't really notice it. But what if we somehow try to force ourselves in a dream to RC and become lucid ?

Yesterday i went to bed with this idea and i got pretty good results. It may be a coincidence, but i became semi-lucid. It was like in a gap of subconscious and conscious lucid dream. I felt the surfaces and I even questioned if it's not reality. When i tried to stabilize the dream, i rubbed my hands and they felt very numb.

So i usually don't get anything like this, but i'll try this tonight again. What do you think?

P.S Also, can anyone drop the link of the thread about levels of lucidity ?

You get yourself to RC in a dream by practicing RCs in waking life. By setting your intent to RC in a dream and reinforcing it by mantras. And by questioning your reality and believing you are dreaming. That is a DILD.

Well I guess then, my way worked as a MILD + DILD, because i really set my intention and believed that it will work.

I am already practicing the RC's and mantras and other stuff for 8 months. In that time i got just about 4 random semi-lucid dreams.
This one was the longest and most vivid. Others just faded away in first 10 seconds.

right! Intention is very important. Also, try using more techniques if you like, you would increase your LDing frequency

I fill my heart with fire, with passion, passion for what makes me nostalgic. A unique perspective fuels my fire, makes me discover new passions, more nostalgia. I love it.

The only thing i haven't yet tried very seriously is WILD or WBTB techniques. Always when i wake up in night and decide to do WILD, I either fall asleep too fast or can't get asleep at all.

Train your self-awareness, so you can WILD properly
Take a look at the WILD course at the DVA

Thanks, i checked this myself yesterday. But this thing called "school" just ruins a lot of things - sleep , awareness and such, to a level where you go like an auto bot through the day.

Lately, i have been imaginaging how it will be to see the hands in my dream, and i kinda force to see it before bed. I already had 2 dreams where i am semi lucid and pretty vivid. I think soon I'll get there Because after the last time i got that epic semi-lucid dream, i know the sense of it. And i got used to it.
