My method of attaining lucid dream has proven to be very successful

      Hey everyone,

I posted my personal method of becoming lucid in a dream a while ago and I am just writing to let you guys know that the method has proven to be very successful for me.

      Here is the method.

The method is called FLD (Focus Lucid dreaming)

      1. Practice visual focus (look in front of you) all day.
      2. Do this even when going to bed, look behind your eye lids.

When you go into a dream, you might look in front of you and this might trigger you to wake up.

      Good luck.
      SenrPF and Tradl3s like this.

promising, since the vision is the main sense we rely on (unless you're blind) in daily waking life, and probably in dreams, too.
naturals are what we call people who did all the right things accidentally

Sounds interesting, elucid! Can you post a bit more on how to do this, especially the daytime practice?

Hmm.. coincidentally, during the day, whenever I happen to look at something while I'm focused, not just staring like a zombie, it immediately triggers my awareness and reminds me to question my reality.
Your technique seems effective, thanks for sharing, now I know this focused vision thing happens to others as well.

      How successful is very successful?

I am a little confused, is the point to wake up and try and catch the phase or what?

This is actually seems like a variation of Finger Induced Lucid Dream, though, I doubt you're aware of it. The idea is you perform a subtle action while falling asleep, then the action transfers over into the dream and that indicates you've become lucid. However, I'm inclined to assume your technique has much varying success due to your choice of the word "might."

The first step is likely an inadvertent established intention to have a lucid dream. Since your practicing of that focus is centered around the idea that it will indeed trigger a lucid dream. This intention, therefore, influences the mind and increases the likelihood of having a lucid dream, similar to MILD. While I understand it doesn't use affirmations, they are similar in the factors of the intention and expectation to trigger lucidity.

Compared to FILD, this method appears to require more effort to work in regards to the need of focusing your vision throughout the entire day. Whereas FILD only needs to be performed for nearly two minutes upon awakening. Would you mind providing more details on how the method works?

I need more info too. Clarification on:

      1. Practice visual focus (look in front of you) all day.

I thought I do that all day anyway?

My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.

The way I see it and what I hope to achieve is to Train the focus. It is like ADA. Except you hold a specific focus. It is essentially a meditation practice.

FILD. I hope OP can give some home-born examples. I'm also eager to hear

I have been so lazy with lding lately. Like the last 9 months have just been failed wild attempts. The attempts weren't even that good. Tomorrow i will try this technique and give some results back.
