I tried the free falling technique last night and still ended up just laying there for ages. I think I discovered a major problem which is attempting the wild in the night knowing I need to wake up for work in two hours. I wake up at 5:45, and made my wild attempt at 4:00. As the minutes added up I got frustrated because I knew I was wasting precious sleep time. I will try again on a weekend night when there is no pressure of waking up early. Maybe my more relaxed state will help.

I did however have a very long and vivid dream last night, so that is good.
