I also saw something like a strobe light and a vibratiting sound that was sync'd with it. It was like a strobe light was on in the room. I never opened my eyes but my hear rate went up and it faded.
Then later my head felt like it was under pressure and again when my heart rate went up it faded.
Oh and the need to swallow still bothers me and then after a while my mouth get dry. My mouth feels like that when I wake up anyway so maybe it is normal. I have to try very hard to ignore it.
I think I get really close I just need to calm down a bit.

Yeah it's very loud, and getting to excited before it happens does mess it up. It's not until SP is actually happening that you can raise your excitement level without completely messing up (you still can, but it's less likely at that point). From the symtoms you describe (brief rushing noises, pressure on your head), you are very close to SP. The difference in SP is that these rushing noises and pressures are constant or consistant. Before SP, they sort of seem to come in inconsistant waves. This could be the brain checking to see if you are asleep, because if you were, you wouldn't notice these symtoms, so your heart rate, your excitement levels, they would not change.
This morning I tried a WILD, succeeded, but lost lucidity within like 15 seconds (don't know why), regained lucidity later on as a DILD, but I was into the whole dream scene that even though I knew I was dreaming, I was still going along with what was going on, and then lost lucidity again
Xan, do you sleep with your mouth open or closed? And Wolffe is your breathing rate going up while you attempt the WILD?
