      Controlled Daydreams to an LD?

I am a person that has lots of daydreams when laying down for bed, or even just spacing out in class. For some time now i've been trying to use these to get me into an LD, however, i assume this will only work, or at least best, after a WBTB. Basically by taking a small role in the daydream (as in following it through while still remaining conscious) and then hopefully at one point become entirely consumed in the daydream turning it into a real dream, LD

Anyone ever tried this or have any experience or tips?

      It's a daydream...

Do you really forget you are in them? Do you really have no control over them?

I obviously know im in them, and i believe that they can be used to reach a dream. As in they will evolve into a full dream. I incorporate myself into them and follow interactively. But i assume if i were to become lucid in it (which it would at that point be a dream) then i WOULD have control

Then may I suggest trying WILDs instead...

How can a daydream turn into a regular dream?

A daydream is a regular dream. You dream 24/7, only when you sleep the day dreams expand to all senses. When you are awake, the daydreams usually stick to one sense, sound, a verbalization of the dreams which most people would call thinking. You can improve your daydreaming to be as intense as normal dreaming by doing a lot of daydreaming. Thats how Albert Einstein and Nikola Tesla did their mental experiments for example. Or how Aldoux Huxley came up with writing themes. This guy uses daydreams to calculate the most complicated mathematics, faster than a calculator: http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/a...athemagic.html. A lot of people in history have already shown that dreams can be used for real life too, and that dreaming is apprently the fastest form of thinking and problem solving.

Anyway, I've been trying out all techniques for a long time, and day dreaming is the easiest way to go because everyone can already do it so you have somewhere to start from. WILDs are basically the same except they require certain techniques to enter the dream without having any dream skills, while day dreaming to lucid dreaming is completely natural and automatic but takes a little while to build up your dream skill. The only thing you need to do is daydream during the day to improve your dreaming at night. Practice makes perfect.. using this method one day, you will be able to close your eyes wherever you are and dream up whatever you want. Other methods only work at night.

      hello

i am trying to achieve a WILD through daydreaming. it is definatly the way for me.

i will note one thing though, as i fall asleep it gets very hard to focus, the further i fall into sleep, the harder it gets to focus on one particular topic.

i find that when i daydream in boring situations, it is a very loose sort of daydreaming, very random, with no purpose.
if you do this when trying a WILD, you will most likely forget you are trying to WILD and get 'swallowed' into your daydreams.
instead, try daydreaming with intent. daydream that you are in a place and go exploring, and as you do so, dont just use sight and sound, use other senses:

      -pain
      -thermoseption (hot/cold)
      -touch
      -sound
      -smell
      -taste
-many others i cant think of

let me know how this goes. i would like to stay in contact with you and anyone else who is trying to use daydreaming / Vild.

      good luck
